If (like me) you like old comic convention programmes then I really recommend looking out for the 'Strips 78' one, I've looked at it on my blog today, particularly highlighting content by renowned 2000AD artists (Gibbons, McMahon, O'Neill, Ranson, Bolland)

Man I loved those old UKCACs (I went between 88 and 92) I sold on my old programmes a few years ago as they were just gathering dust and seemed to shift for decent money - especially when you collected signatures in the back - so seemed foolish to have them hanging around for no reason.

Its times likes this that its one of the few bits of my colelction that I've sold over the years that I kinda regret.

Mind if I had them now after this I bet I'd think - why the hell am I hanging onto these!

Lies! Damn Lies!

The 2000ad editor has signed off as some Gosnell chap. We all know it was Tharg the Mighty from day one!

Lovely stuff - seen the Bolland and McMahon before , but nice to see more - used to collect these sort of things before they went stupid money on eBay (shakes fists at EwanB!)  you could pick this sort of stuff up for less than a quid back in the 90s/early 2000s.

I like how IPC 'prove' Pat Mills point with their "Biggest Buyers of comic strips" tag - "comics wholesale, get yer comics 'ere!"
