A couple of years ago I did a picture of an updated Dredd costume. We all know Dredd doesn't need updating, but I thought why not try and draw a costume that some one could wear in the real world. For some reason I have allays had trouble with Dredds shoulder pads as they are in the comic, I just can't work out either how they stay on or how he moves in them.

Here's my Weekly TAB for this week 'non 2000ad comic characters' was originaly going to go with the Alan Davis redesign but went with the original costume that hooked me all the way back in late '76.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

Neil, those are arsom!

I love your Dredd design Steven. The eagle shoulder pad reminds me of Bubo the owl from the old Clash of the Titans film.

And that Captain Britain is kick arse flip-r.

I'm giving a talk/demonstration about comic art at my son's school tomorrow (!) and I've done a quick, 1 page comic to copy and hand out to all the kids.

Thanks to Banners for helping me merge the 2 files into one pic.

Bloody hell you're good Bates.

I want your brain.

Brilliant Lee! The kids will love that.

As usual there's a surfeit of awesome art on this thread.

That's great Lee, though I must say I was expecting Spidey to come up with a pack of Hostess Twinkies in the last frame.

Bluemeanie, where are you?

Why did no one alert me to this day earlier???
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
