What a terrible and premature topic for the competiti... oh hold on...
Get drawing you lot, you can't run the risk of a no mark like me winning again.
This contest will now have two prizes, see:

You already have my address Mr Tharg.

A script idea suggests itself to me. Currently running to two pages (although it could run longer as it is flexible) with plenty of opportunity to draw Dreddworld characters, if anyone fancies drawing it. Artists get to keep the prize if we win (unless it is super cool and we timeshare it ;) ).

Ooooh... I'd be interested, if you don't mind me taking a look?
I've just had an idea for this. Hopefully I can make it look OK.

Two weeks to go and I've scared off the competition - prize 1 on my mantle piece and prize two on my desk. Bet they're lovely.

I have this idea, really great, all I need is someone to give me a million quid and we'll be set.

Blast. Seeing as Jon Haward popped up and said he'd draw some no-good Mod's script, I figured
someone was granting wishes. Maybe I have to rub Roger three times...?
Wrong Jon, I'm afraid. As you were...
Blimey, I really am a muppet! Mind you, having just visited your Facebook art-page, I think wish-fulfillment is still a strong possibility...
Wow. Thank you very much.
Not just you Tordelback, I was thinking the same thing!
But Emperor is still jammy, you're art looks absolutely fabulous Jon. As a writer in the small-press field, hopefully we will somehow get to collaborate on something in the future! :)
Wow, really thanks. You've made my birthday. :)
I'd love to work on something with you at some point.

Yup, I'm working on one. Hope to have it up by Friday.
Hope to...

Are
YOU?!
Yeah, it's all but done! Not that I get to be smarmy about it - this'll be the first comp I've entered since... well, it was so long ago I think Amstor Computer was still running them.
Oi, Buttonmoon, your entries have been deleted. Too awesome for photobucket ?
I've got one brewing (f'narr, f'narr) and I've seen sketches from Uncle Fester too.
Here's the entry from the Emperor and I;

Wow, amazing art, Jon! That would not look at all out of place in the prog. And nice Dirty Frank dialogue there, Emperor. ;)
And whichever one of you is responsible for the un-smiley face on Chopper's burning board: fantastic.
Genius
Smokin'! Some incredible art, Jon NotHaward. And I suppose Emperor's script helped a bit.
Yep that's a winner!!!! ENDS THIS MONDAY MIDNIGHT!!!

I just rechecked the script. That was all Emps...
Damn. Thought it was a bit clever for me.
Thanks for all the comments.

Only a little ;) It was all bodged together quickly so Jon could get started on the art (a Herculean task given the deadline, not helped by it gaining a page as I sketched it out). If I'd had more time I'd have layered in more details - it occurred to me after John had started that this was a reverse Cursed Earth so I could have dug out landmarks and added them in (like sticking Las Vegas behind Ishmael). Then again the deadline means there isn't time for such fannying around with details, ones that didn't really add to the core of the story. And Jon managed to nail each of the panels first time, despite all my efforts to wrongfoot him like almost having a different character in each panel (11 main characters in 13 panels). I couldn't be happier with the result.

I thought it was a nice touch from you until I check the script. It was a bit of a last minute addition plucked from the ether (I really must quick writing while taking anaesthetics, also chloroform is more fun).
There is also a little wink to Watchmen in there too. ;)

I know!! I was looking around for a clean cut character to contrast with Dirty Frank and the beard won it for Judge Ishmael (apologies to Gordon and PJ there ;) ).
Outstanding work guys, excellent art Jon.
Stew.
Well there doesn't seem much point trying to follow that, but...
