I seem to remember Tharg explaining on the letters page that it was indeed a film of skin rather than a bag.  Nice letter heading too: 'Mad Max - The Film.'

QuoteSometimes I would like to be an atheist.

Lord Dawkins' door is always open, my child.  ;)

QuoteGot back late yesterday from a three day stay at that there London.

Me too, coincidentally.  Incredible weather, saw the Stones in Hyde Park, then two nights later met one of my favourite radio / telly people Adam Buxton after his a show in Ealing.  He's a ruddy gentleman to the core (and very small indeed).

The Rapture has arrived. And I have been chosen.

Or maybe you've been left behind...

Well, that would be just bloody typical.

Have a spin up the Celbridge section of the Liffey on my battery-powered inflatable dinghy.  Seriously:  It's how I spend as much free time as possible. PM me if you want a loan of it, no joking

EDIT:  Just noticed the four kids thing.  Maybe not too practical.  Posting drunk again, sorry.  I'd recommend St Michan's church in Dublin though if your kids like spooky fun, you can touch leathery mummies there and the tour guide has the charisma of Richard O'Brien.

Not every Christian in Northern Ireland buys into the "God and Ulster" thing thankfully. It is however very much alive and I agree with previous posters as to its abhorrence. Verily it boils my urine.

Btw. Here's an interesting wee link to anyone have interested in a perspective that challenges the sort of homophobia that comes complete with Bible verses:

http://www.soulforce.org/resources/what-the-bible-says-and-doesnt-say-about-homosexuality/

Food for thought even for those who dismiss the whole thing as hokum.

Yup.  Again I say:  I wish all Christians were like the Prodigal.

The length of the drop into the undercity is only as far as the top of the building you're falling onto; if Anderson fell through a hole directly above the Chrysler building...
Maybe not, but she'd have done herself a damage on the pointy bit.

She'd do herself a damage on my pointy bit.  I'm so sorry, I'm posting drunk again

Thanks, Tankie, you're a gent!

Thanks, Tankie!  Having thought it through, your advice makes a lot of sense.  At the moment I have just about enough work to keep myself busy; occasionally asking other people for help when it gets too overwhelming.  However, this is only on occasion.
So, to be totally honest I don't really need a partner - not for a while yet anyway.  Choice made!  Cheers again

 :o  That's ridiculously good.

SKD, why were you painting swastikas on a mosque? (I didn't read the article, I'll grant you)

I'll kill you and eat you.

Thanks for the advice, everyone.  Maybe a partnership could be worth considering.  Or murder.
