I may well be, thanks to a happy coincidence. ( the missus has a midwife appointment, which automatically gets me the day off too.) But, not having my Xbox due to ring death sort of takes the fun out of it! :-(

I aint got a copy or even a 360 but I have to say I am impressed with the trailer.

I enjoyed Halo 2.

Mine shows NOT YET DESPATCHED...and a despatch date of Wednesday!  BUT they do say place order to ensure it arrives on day of release...think I'll ring them tomorrow.

I have two copies, both the collectors tin (not the helmet one, not the vanilla game).

Mrs X bought me one, and I picked up the last one in G Force.

If any Glasgow based boarder fancies taking the tin off me, and can get to Central Station before 5, then it's theirs for the bargain £45 (five pounds off). I've opened it and had a flick throught he manual, mind.

Well, first impressions are that it's Halo 1 with prettier graphics. Not saying that's a bad thing, far from it, but it is not a quantum leap and isn't trying to be.

I also seem to keep running out of ammo, making it quite hard - I'm playing on Legendary, which I did with Halo 1 and 2, and it seems harder. That said, I may just be too used to playing on the PC. I'll give it a couple of levels and see if it gets easier.

That said, I've promised Mrs X I'll put it away. I have an exam to sit on the 7th of November, and I haven't done any work for it yet.

If I amble in to Game at 11 today am I likely to be horribly disappointed?

Not as dissapointed as me...grumble, mumble, grrrr...

I rarely pre-order these things, but this time (TO MAKE SURE I GET A COPY ON DAY OF RELEASE) I do go for it, and...TESCO have not yet despatched it (they were selling it with the line, 'pre order now for delivery on date of release' - they fibbed).

Now I have to work this morning!
