So - who'll be the first boarder to create a 2000AD Mii, then? Can't do costumes - unless and until Nintendo use firmware updates to expand the options available - but humanoid 2K characters should be a goer. Here are a few (wonky!) ones to get us started:

Mine said that when I first ordered it, but I went back in and confirmed 1st class delivery - even though it was already selected - and the date changed to 8th-9th. Worth a try.

Mine's now listed as "dispatching soon" so I remain hopeful...

quick question for anyone out there that will know, as I am not online at home at all I'll obviosly be missing out on the Vitual Console side of things till I get that sorted, with the Wii's conect all the time net thingy is this going to stop me playing any games at all till I get conected?
Hope not or else I've just splashed $400 for nothing at the moment.

Bugger. Mine still says "Delivery estimate: 14 Dec 2006 - 15 Dec 2006" and the American in the call centre confirms this is the case. Despite a previous email to the contrary and the FAQ stating pre-orders "should be dispatched in time for delivery on December 8" I must have missed the initial allocation.

Not to worry. I confess that, wanting one on launch day, I have pre-ordered another Wii which has been confirmed as available for collection at midnight.

I am more excited than a man of my age should be...(!)

Mrs collects mine tomorrow and when I get home I'll have to *ahem* test it for an hour or 2 before it gets all wrapped up for xmas.

My god, this thing rocks, picked it up yesterday after work spent the next 6 hours swinging, bowling, punching and shooting then had to calm my self down so I could sleep, haven't been like that since the Megadrive came out.  Can't believe how solid the whole control scheme feels, and the feedback works perfectly(never been a fan of rumble but combined with the speaker it works), even makes an average 1st person shooter imensly enjoyable and imersive, I say to all, get one(if you can find one, they're all sold out here).

Well, Gamestation in Brum was a badly managed experience, although my Buddy and I did very well despite the confusion about whether we had to queue or not once we got inside.

A night of great fun on Wii Sports, little sleep and now a day off for Zelda. Hurrah!
