Thanks for the heads up on the possible discount, I'll keep that in mind when that purchasing urge comes calling again  ;)

Thanks folks, I'm so glad I picked up that Gibson page when I did, I do recall there were a few of the Ezquerra sketches available at the same time (I think I've still got the AAAAGH gallery ad sheet with them on along with a few by Mr Bolland).

I really like this page but it's a wallet drainer right now ;)

Hello all, just took a few snaps of my own original artwork, some of these are long overdue for framing.

Judge Dredd, "The Apocalypse War" (aborted cover design sketch for Titan graphic novel) by Carlos Ezquerra.

Original "Robot Wars" page by Ian Gibson from 2000AD Prog 17.

Blackhawk 2000AD Prog 137 by Massimo Belardinelli.

Thanks folks, it's a labour of love  :)

The Shark Is Still Working was cut down from approx 3 hours obviously losing a lot of material along the way, much of this material included interviews with Directors and Film makers inspired by the movie, along with a lot of the fandom involved around the movie series. I was actually very lucky to survive the chop myself as my good friend in the USA who owns ALL things JAWS was sadly cut out of it totally. This edited version had a very limited theatrical run in America and was screened in London, and now stands as the official version.
I'm lucky enough to own several longer edits of this feature, but despite the cuts, the edited version still stands up well if you're new to it and of course a fan, and it features some great finds which I won't spoil for those who may still want or have yet to watch it. :)

Ah the Superman comic :D, yes it's just another rip off, I think the shark appears in something like 2 frames in the strip  ;)

Thanks matey, years of collecting there. I've been lucky enough to visit where the movie was filmed, met many cast and crew there and even managed to get onto the Blu ray release of the movie (in the heavily cut "The Shark Is Still Working" documentary) included with this release.

Below is one of the hidden easter eggs on my site, this one featuring an exhibition I held in Liverpool in 2008.

Glad you liked it Mabs :)

Film Discussion / Re: DREDD reviews. (SPOILERS!)
08 September, 2012, 09:22:47 PM
Well what can I say but AWESOME, I've caught the movie twice in as many days.

Yesterday we sat down for the 2pm screening at Cineworld in Edge Lane, Liverpool and after around five attempts to run the ads we were told the screening wouldn't go ahead due to a technical fault  :(. We accepted a refund (and complimentary tickets for another future screening) and headed to Liverpool One's Odeon where we enjoyed it in style  :D. I chanced another screening at Cineworld again today and enjoyed it all over again, and dare I say enjoyed it more the second time around.

It all came and went in no time at all and left me wanting more, this is Dredd. It all worked so well with so many nice touches and nods to Dredd's rich history, and a brooding soundtrack to boot.
I didn't think of Urban under that helmet at all, just Dredd, the man, the machine... it was fanboy/girl heaven.

I felt Dredd looked a bit old and beaten after taking a bullet in the factory scene, but I'm old school and don't like to think of anyone getting the better of Joe  ;), it kinda reminded me of a scene in "Crusade" where Joe falls fowl to "Cesare".

In summing up I was well impressed and aim to see this again soon, and here's hoping there's a nice sharp Blu ray to follow soon.
