either of you guys checked out the www.3822.co.uk website?  it's an air cadets reunited sort of thing where you can see ex-mates from the Sqn and stuff.  you may want to check it out for old times sake but it's still quite new..

well bugger me senseless....i was and in fact still am in the Air Training Corps and now run a Sqn in Manchester as well as doing a lot of the weapons and range management instructor training for the north of England......

what Sqn were you in then wake?  what rank did you leave at?

i once had a work colleague who was an ex-RAF Regiment Officer bring an M72 66mm LAWs (Light Anti-tank Weapon) Rocket launcher into work for me. obviously without the rocket.....

i had this hung on the wall over my computer whilst at university until some little scumbag burgled me and took my hi-fi and the rocket launcher (he crawled through a very small window to get in and out)....it made for an interesting incident report with the police though..(i lived in moss side at the time!!)

i hope you haven't misinterpreted my post about the off topic post your majesty...

my comments were that i don't understand some of the off topic posts as they appear to be about chat room discussions which i wasn't party to.  i've no problem with these posts as i simply don't read them as advised by others in this and other threads.

i just thought i'd clear that up..

the board is fully part of my life now and has cost me god knows how much money going out and buying back progs and original art as wll as all the recommended comics and GNs that slippo mentioned....

i regularly comment on the goings on of the board to my missus much to her annoyance as she hasn't got a bloody lue what i'm talking about!!

all said i consider people here my friends also and was very sad to have missed dreddcon and especially shedcon in december.

all the recommendations and chat about the prog seem to have been overtaken by the irrelevent chit chat lately but i guess that's because we all know each other better know and so the conversation drifts to other areas as has been previously mentioned.

i have no solutions only observations but i'd like to thank everyone for keeping me sane in an insane world.

i have to admit that i have become a bit of a lurker recently.  partly due to my workload but also due to some of the threads being based on chat room conversations which i wasn't part of and, therefore, do not feel i can take an active part in.  

all that being said i still think the board is a nice place to be even though my last post remains unanswered :o(

just remember i am here if anybody wants me but i'm just being quiet.......
