What did you think of it?

It seemed like a HUGE deal to me and my comic book chums at the time, but it seemed to quickly fizzle? 

Or is my mind playing tricks?

When did you guys find your first actual comic book shop, then?

For me, in Hull, there was possibly one of the earliest in the UK, in 1980.

No photos or anything at all exist, sadly.

After that, there were a few throughout the 80s onward.

It's a cracking mix of 40s LA noir and Lovecraft/magic.

That's a lot of comics...especially when they're all coming out over just 2 months.

It's clearly the "5G" reboot repackaged and condensed, and it'll be interesting to see the reaction and sales of these.

DC are clearly gambling big on this one.

If you've not heard of this, Ablaze tried publish English language versions of the new French Conan GNs last year, before Disney/Marvel stepped in.

However, Ablaze pressed on, and now it looks like they are good to go, as "Conan" is now "The Cimmerian".

They managed to get issue #1 of QUEEN OF THE BLACK COAST out this week.

You can pick up copies from FP, and pre-order #2 and RED NAILS #1 & #2.
