General / Re: The Commissions Thread

I am sorely tempted by the commissions idea. Anyone willing to share publicly or privately what sort of prices some of these masterpieces cost?
cheers

Classifieds / Charity total to date
13 December, 2014, 10:15:54 AM
Just a note to say that over the last 18 months my various 2000AD signed comics and books have raised £637.56 for charity.
£79.96 of this went to Help for Heroes, and the remaining £557.60 went to Cancer Research UK. Obviously a big chunk of this was from the Art of Dredd book project.

Thanks to all who made bids, retweeted links and bought the actual items. Well done to all of us.

Not sure what my next signing project will be yet but watch this space.

cheers

Jon's Dirty Frank card is absolutely fantastic. Love the baubles in the beard. Very now as well

Are apologies required? Seems to me as if a lot of people (myself included) were confused by the test marketing project and by the conflicting messages we were receiving from Hachette itself.

I understand that a lot of this had to be kept under wraps while figures were analysed, and that in a sense we on the forum were not really the test audience. Hachette presumably knew we would be buying, it was its wider crossover appeal they were trying to gauge.

As most of us were not privy to all this information as the soft launch happened I think we can be forgiven for acting in a confused manner particularly when there was the spectre of paying for something that we might not actually receive.

Now the carefully conceived plan has be revealed in its greater glory then we can all lean back, wipe our brows and say phew. Well done to Hachette and Rebellion and roll on my first delivery.

While we're waiting here's another window with a crappy bit of confectionery behind it. My poorly iced GingerDredd man.
