QuoteAlien porn eh? You may have just given me a reason to check out the DVD!

Yes...It's worth the rental...In fact my rating of the film would be either $2 redbox rental or wait for Netflix.

Should I look under the 'movie' or 'porn' section?

Bad joke, I know.

Not sure if Netflix or Redbox has a porn section.  But let me know if they do. :o

Good that it's not just me that's read through a thread, found a good post and went to hit "quote" only to see the button missing  :o

What I would like to know is what the bloody hell happened to the 'edit' option?

What I meant was which section should I check at the rental shop

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for newbies to get full access to their profile, or how many times you need to post if that's how it works?

I applaud the anti-troll measures, but can't wait to be a full-fledged member ....

Imagine the forum is a swimming pool.  It's in all the bathers' interests that known or suspected widdlers are kept in the kiddie pool.

I can promise I wont widdle any where on the forum  :D

Surely it should be that the less you post and the more time spent on the forum should grant you access? I mean, anyone can sign up and just post spam for the sake of it? As the topic says, it is a bit annoying, especially when you want to post in a particular thread of interest.

Mr Walter the Wobot

Welcome aboard, Rusty!

That's a good point you make. Maybe it's more so the moderators can assess how genuine our posts are, to make sure we're not just spammers lurking or something.

Incidentally, I now have over 100 posts and am no longer a Sub Basement Sewer Dweller, and I am still unable to post in the film discussion forum.

What gives?

I'm putting down to them a) being swamped by n00bs as a result of the film and b) perhaps, just perhaps, the film has attracted a lot of other people wanting to make an anime version of all the progs and c) make another film. I live and dream :o

I completely get the whole vetting thing, makes sense and I have no issue with it whatsoever on principal, especially as I lurked for a bit on the boards back during one of the 'troubled times' (which is also why I didn't become a member myself at that time) so there is certainly good reason for it. But surely it is a bit of a balancing act, as if you make legitimate new arrivals wait too long many of them are likely to become disheartened, give up and leave, not bothering to return. And when that kind of thing starts to happen regularly a board runs the risk of becoming a bit stagnant.

Of course this board is probably insulated to that to a certain degree given what I would imagine to be a fairly large and active membership base, but still, it is something to consider.

Then again, what do I know. I'm just a mutie scratching at the outside walls myself...
Bloop.

Will do general, cheers (if I can find the balls to actually get hold of one that is).

That is true, there hase beeb an influx of new members as if late mostly due to the critical success of the film.

Although I have noticed there are members posting on the film discussion forum that have post counts lower then 20 even, but I take they were already members for a while before they actually started posting and thus acquitted themselfs as none-potential spammers.

Neverthless, I respect the terms of this forum and shall carry out the sentance the mods have intended for me.

Hopefully it won't be too long mate.
