THe Dredd Production Line
« on: 24 February, 2004, 02:12:29 pm »
Spoilers

So in this weeks Prog we have Dolman, a clone of Dredd and another member of the Bloodline. Also in the latest Meg in Prodigal, Giant and Rico discuss the fact that there are several Dredd clones making their way through the Academy. Can any one tell me when it was first revealed that there was more than one clone of Dredd. I reread Blood Cadets this morning and it seemed to suggest that Rico was the only clone of Dredd. I'm after a specific prog or story where this was mentioned first because before Prodigal I thought Rico was unique.

The superb [and highly recommended] Judge Dredd story 'SECTOR HOUSE' back in 2000[?] reveals that several Dredd clones are in production. 'The Prodigal' reiterates this fact.

I'll have to reread it.

That revelation must have passed right by me.

I think in one of the Bloodline stories they say 6 or 7 dredd clones were sent to Texas City after Judgement day to up numbers of judges there some were then transfered back to MC1 after Doomsday to make up numbers in MC1 so they've been conveniently out of the way till old enough to graduate onto the mean streets of the meg to get culled by the true Dredd ofcourse. Shit no punctuation in that what a sentence...
