Another 0% listing weekend means I can get some more stuff up for grabs. Have a gander here:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/ysdod/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

Something people might find particularly interesting is the very hard to find, out of print, Batman graphic novel Prodigal:

Happy shopping folks  :D

Did anyone pick this up this week? The new ongoing by Charles Soule and Alberto Jiminez Alburquerque. I heard it was going to be good so for the sake of $1 (or £1) figured I'd give it a go and I wasn't disappointed.
It's kind of like the X-files meets the West Wing (or what I assume the West Wing was like, having never  seen it lol).
The first issue sets up the story nicely with a nice couple of twists that I won't spoil here. Really looking forward to seeing where this series goes.

Games / The Last Of Us
24 August, 2013, 05:48:55 PM
Just finished the story of this amazing game (is it fair to call it a masterpiece?). Don't want to post spoilers in the first post but just wondered what other boardies thought?

If you own a PS3 and haven't played it yet you really need to, your not going to regret it.

Film & TV / The Flying Man - Short Film
15 July, 2013, 12:47:24 PM
Has anyone else seen this?

http://www.geekrest.com/2013/07/the-flying-man-short-film-marcus-alqueres-superhero/

Short movie giving a new, creepy, take on if superheroes suddenly appeared. It's really well done so just figured I'd post a link so people can see what they think.

Classifieds / 400 US comics for sale
02 July, 2013, 08:25:32 PM

Hi all. I'm still in the middle of a big sort out and have now gone through my single issues. There are around 400 I'm looking to sell including DC, Marvel, Vertigo and a load of Independent stuff (Image, Dark Horse, etc). I'd rather do it all in one go then go the eBay/ individual issue route so am trying the boards first. The collection includes a selection of number 1s and some runs. Some of them I've pictures of.
Some Spider-man stuff:

Some Hulks:

A good chunk of the Jason Aaron Wolverine run:

And some Irredemable/Incorruptible by Mark Waid:

Obviously due to the size of the collection pick up would be for the best (I'm in the North East, UK) and I'm open to any reasonable, fair, offers.
Any questions, just ask  :)

For the boardies in the North East a Movie, TV, Sci-Fi and collectors fair at The Arc in Stockton. 40odd dealers across 2 floors.
This is the first time they've tried something like this at The Arc so hopefully it'll be a success and they'll do more.
The link is here https://www.facebook.com/events/573511416016745. Hopefully some of ou guys can make it.

General / The great 2000AD battle royale
06 June, 2013, 05:04:25 PM
I was flicking through some of the year end specials and came across one of them (forget which one) which has a tournament pitting series against series to determine who was the ultimate 2000AD character. The winner was
Johnny Alpha
.

I thought we could have a bit of fun with the idea but instead of series vs series how about any character from any series in 2000AD (or the Meg, let's make it interesting...) vs any other character from any other series (or even the same series, who would win out of Johnny Alpha or Wulf for example).
Rules are easy:

• First post picks the match then the next post decides the winner (giving a reason for that decision) and then picks the next fight. If two people post results for the same fight then whoever post first is determined the decider and there post is next in the game.
•   It might also be a good idea to say which series each character is from if it's not really obvious, to avoid confusion.
•   Once you have picked a fight you need to wait at least 3 fights before you can pick a winner again, that way more people get a turn.
•   Lastly lets try and keep the fights even as well, there is no point suggesting something like Satanus vs Walter the Wobot as we all know Walter would win lol.

I'll start things off then:

D.R versus Quinch

FIGHT!

I'm starting to have a clear out and some of my older progs are having to go (look out for a thread in 'Classifieds' soon lol) but before I do I'm making a list of the thrills I want to keep (or can get in graphic novel form).

I was wondering if there is any idea on when the Dredd Case Files will get caught up with the prog, or near enough at least. I know Case file 20 includes prog 900 with Rogue so I'm guessing that Case Files 21 will be the latter half of the 900's which will probably include The Pit.

But how often are the Case Files released? I've only just started collecting and I'm still getting caught up so I'm not sure what the wait between volumes is. Also, out of curiousity, what volumes do the Meg stories start getting reprinted in the Case Files?

General / Creating a Judge’s uniform
22 May, 2013, 12:04:06 PM
I'm sure I'm like a lot of people post on these boards who'd love one of the Planet Replica Judges uniforms (or similar), the only thing hold us back is that £2000odd price tag. I know if I could afford it I'd have mine ordered the next chance I got.

Knowing I'm probably never going to get around to being able to save the £2000 due to life getting in the way (and going to cons, collecting comics, etc), the best I could probably hope for is a helmet (which I'd still love to have). It got me thinking if anyone on the boards has ever made their own Judges uniform? Movie or comic version, and if anyone knows of any good guides online (preferable step-by-step) to help the less talented amongst us have a shot at making one ourselves.

I thought it could be a fun little project and it would be great to see a couple of homemade Judges uniforms on patrol around the cons. (Could they all be classed at Jimps by the Planet Replica Judge's?)

Or you can see it right here:

I knwo the Dark Judges aren't everyone's cup or tea but this pages looks amazing.
I guess they manage to get out of the bottle. Wonder what happens to PJ?

Also the Facebook page says it's been moved back to Spring 2014, sure it'll be worth the wait.

Hi All,

I've got a load of bargins (possible cheap crap, depends how you look at it  :lol:) for sale on eBay at the minute. All comic related, give them a look:

Any questions just let me know. Happy shopping.

As the title says I guess.
I've just noticed on the 2000AD shop they are no longer on sale. I was hoping to pick them up in the coming months as I'm running out of space so was planning on getting shot of some of my older 2000AD's but replacing the stories I enjoyed with the Graphic Novel (where available).
If they are out of print does anyone know if they have plans to re-print them any time soon?

The downsizing of the collection is continuing (stay tuned for more fans of Inifinte Crisis at least lol).

Does anyone know what the going rate is for the Titan Dredd Hardbacks? Are they hard to find these days? (I only found one on eBay). I've got The Cursed Earth (which I believe is signed by Pat Mills) and Judge Child Quest.
Anyone know how easy they are to come by?

(Please note I've not decided to sell them yet, this is just out of curiosity for if I decide to).

Events / Thought Bubble 2013 - 17th - 24th November 2013
19 February, 2013, 08:42:24 PM
It's starting again. The festivals website and Facebook page has had it's first update of 2013. Tickets, table prices, etc haven't been announced yet but the con itself is on the 23rd & 24th Nov. Also the first load of guests have also be announced, they are:

- Rafael Alburquerque (American Vampire);
- Gabriel Bá (Daytripper, Casanova);
- Andy Belanger (Swamp Thing, Black Church);
- Becky Cloonan (Batman, Wolves, The Mire);
- Ming Doyle (Mara, Jennifer's Body)
- Fábio Moon (Casanova, Daytripper);
- Sean Gordon Murphy (Punk Rock Jesus);
- Ramón Pérez (Wolverine & The X-Men);
- Emma Rios (Captain Marvel, Pretty Deadly);
- Annie Wu (Hawkeye, The Venture Bros)

Not exactly 2000AD related just yet but sure plenty of past and current droids will be there. What's everyone think of the first load of guests?

I'm having to start downsizing my collection starting with my Y the Last Man GN. I've all 10 and the first one is signed by Pia Guerra with a little sketch of Ampersand the monkey.
I'm thinking £7 a book or all 10 for £60. Happy to arrange for buyer to collect or I can just send them through the post (not sure how much P&P would be). Would really prefer to sell the collection as one but if a couple of people are after individual books I could be tempted to split them.

Anyone interested? Just leave a reply on here or PM me  :)

Not sure if people would be interested or now but figured I'd stick this on here. It looks like another price glitch so if you want it you might have to be quick.
