Is there any way to stop computers from crashing?
« on: 24 October, 2006, 08:04:06 PM »
Dear PC Advisor.

Whenever I try and play Oblivion on my computer it seems to set off the computers irony circuit or something. It keeps crashing about two seconds into the game. My computer has a bit of a habit of crashing during another game as well. I dont mind it when a game crashes (well, I do but at least I'm used to it...) but when it takes the whole computer with it it can get a bit distressing.

I guess the problem could lie in the magical picture card inside the computer but in the meantime is there any way of stopping these crashes from happening? Is there a free program on the internet to guard against this sort of thing?

Thanks. I really love your magazine and the naked clipart disc was the best free gift to date.

Yours respectfully,

Jared Katooie.

Always the best first step.

The next one may be tp check the computer specs against the required game specs.

If in doubt put more RAM in the box.
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Or you could open it up and fill it with spoons.
