With the news that more 2000AD-based games are on the way, I've been thinking about what games I'd like to see.

Adventure games

A D.R and Quinch adventure game would be great fun. The characters would would suit the genre perfectly and there would be plenty of scope for bizarre inventory items and comic mayhem.

Caballistics would also make a good adventure game, albeit a more darker, adult one. Interesting characters, hideous monsters, how could it fail?

Dredd would seem an odd choice for this genre, but a good detective story, with lots of Dredd-style brutality could make the idea work.

Action games

A Strontium Dog FPS[backslash]RPG in the style of Deus Ex. Choose missions and weapons and then go hunt down out of the bad guys.

A Slaine slash-em-up. Slaughter dozens of enemies. Then warp out and slaughter even more!

Invasion: The game. Another FPS but with a strategy element, where you select a mission, choose your team and then give the Volgs the business end of your shootah!

And finally, most desired of all...

A ridiculously over-the-top  crossover beat 'em up game! Like Smash Bros, only with 2000AD characters and grotesque levels of violence! Dredd vs Rogue! Alpha vs Death! Metalzoic vs Bix Barton!

Deus Ex aside thats a good idea.I have often thought the same thing for a possible game.

If Rogue Trooper can work as a game and was a success then this could easily work.I would say its the next obvious choice fro Rebellion.

The Invasion game reminds me of a game i played ages ago on the PS2 called Freedom Fighters.

The game is set in New York under occupation by Russians. Its a very good game by the way.
Worthing Bazaar - A fete worse than death

I'd love to see a Stainless Steel Rat game - a FPS/GTA mix, with sneaky safe-cracking, jail-breaks, planetary assaults and femme fatales.  Methinks copyright issues are stacked against us.  Other than that, a SD Bounty-Hunter FPS has to be the must-have.

vzzbux

Apocalypse War command and conquer style.

Peace is a lie, there's only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.

As mentioned on another thread. I thought theri mighgt be alot of potential for 2000AD based Online RPG.

In the game 'City of Heros' After I have been playing this for a week. I could almost visualise Paragon city as Mega-City One.

To other wise dicribe the amount of detail puit into the seting is to compare this game with GTA San Andreas. Except it's mainly set in a built up area. Without use of cars, Motorcycles and boats.

The game alrady has Police robot eye in the sky sky cameras.

Each section of the City is Zoned and separated by huge concrete walls even which has further convinced me of the lilely hood of how type of game may turn out if it was ever made. YTge only diffrence being here is that thry have taken this a step further and put up forcefields to completely closed off each city zone.

There's even a zone that as very cursed earth feel to it. ( The Hollows.) Which be acces by going through heavily gaurder gate/aperture to this place.

The only things that are missing are the conical shaped city blocks towers, and air traffic.

IN my idea for thsi game wou;ld be that you couyld choose to be either a Citizen or a Mutant. Then you would start playing the game and then your actions and choices would determinine how much of a law abiding Citizen you you are. I guess Mutants wouldn't have a choice. They could start the game either in the extreme western section of the city or outside in the cursed Earth zone. The law abiding citizens might be chosen and invited to become Cadet Judges who work their way up to Street Judges and so on. Though the option be cloned JUdge would be their as well.

The riding of cars and Lawmasters would be allowed.

My absolute dream game would be the Slaine equivilent of any GTA game set in his fantacy world of course. Minus all the modern contriviences. Only with Dragons, Chariots, Horses and flying boats replaying Jets, planes, Motor cylces and other Vechiles.

2000 AD All-star Kart Racer!

A Satanus game where you kill all of his old enemies throughout the 2thou universe, although with Dredd they would have to spin it so that they become allies and you have to kill the evil alternate universe Dredd who has a goatee. The game culminates in an orgy of blood and death as Satanus hooks up with Pat so they can finally hunt down and kill Bishop and Diggle in order that they should pay for their various crimes. The art style will be based on John Hicklenton's art on Blood of Satanus 3. Also included is a mini game where Grennie goes on a murderous drunken rampage throughout the supermarket where all the message-boarders work as shelf stackers, there would be QTEs which culminate in him ripping out people's spines (geddit?).
He's only trying to be what following how his dreams make you wanna be, man!

W. R. Logan

2000 AD The Editors edition, you take on the role of the galaxies greatest editor. Choose from any of the Tharg's of the past 30 years and create the perfect edition of 2000 AD, with maximum thrill power.
Rant at your team of droids as you push them to breaking point or send them to mek-quake.
Choose to be the editor that rewrites everyones scripts then years later moan about somneone else doing the same thing to your scripts.
Once you hit the create button watch as the games AI system creates a virtual message board where your choices get ripped to shreds.

Buddy

Sim Mega City.

Why, oh Why hasn't this been considered?

It would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shakara

I always liked the thought of a MMORPG where you play as judges and have to...beat up criminals and..stuff

it wouldn't work in any sense of the word but god I used to love the idea of it - running through old stories, doing hotdog runs - - other such balls

ThryllSeekyr

Just re-read my last post Shakara and consider the 'City of Heros and Villains' free trial or better yet buy that game and play it.

Playing that game would have you belive that it could be done.

I could very well imagine that anytime that your character fdie ingame that you'll be given a choice of cloning it or having it sent to resyk.

Mardroid

A Strontium Dog FPS[backslash]RPG in the style of Deus Ex. Choose missions and weapons and then go hunt down out of the bad guys.

I'd love this too, although I'd rather it be a Third person shooter than a FPS.  Include time displacement stuff (haven't read much SD but I think some of his weapons are based on that right?) and have a buddy option too that you can take control of to get through certain obstacles. Perhaps that gronk alien critter.

Anyone had a go of the last Evil Dead game, with the whole Ash and Sam thing? That sort of idea... although it needn't be the same character buddy all the time.

Adrian Bamforth

Someone should create some 2000AD adventure games...

In the stylee of Toejam and Earl. I'd buy that for a dollar.

I know I'm an old fart, but we have never had as much use out of a console as we did out of our Megadrive ... the best purchase we made for our PS2 last year was all the classic Sonic games on one disc. Just fantastic.

Cheers
