Minty screening time and 2000AD panel time should be nailed down tonight, so I'll post details once I know myself :)

One problem with that, bluemeanie won't be allowed in

shut UP Burdis. PCs used to be our local!!   >:(

....Earnest Willows has become the default Expo pub prior to shifting back to the Mercure for a few more over-priced beers..PCs is too small to squeeze everyone in - we pretty much took over the EW last year and intend to do the same again. :)

Just had a thought, I don't have access to a table this year. I will be bringing some pages with me, so if anyone is looking for any, or getting stuff signed or whatever, just look out for the hat. I'll be wandering about with the ol' folio on the Saturday.
Stop me and buy some, as it were.  :D

See y'all there.

I was gonna go to this, as it's not that far from me at all.

However, I've heard soem less than stellar feedback about the event - as one guy put it 'a glorified comics mart with a few guests thrown in'.

Anyone care to offer a more positive summary than that?

I've never been, but i know that it IS a very small event & it doesn't advertise itself as a big convention, rather a local Expo.

Can't go to this one meself which is gutting as I spectacularly failed to get a Zombo sketch from Henry Flint at Bristol. Boo.

"Guests with their mouths full.  Shocking behaviour," but a damn good show.  Just finished listening to the Molch-R interrogation and it's only while typing this that I realise I'm still grinning.  Great fun to listen to.  Excellent show.  Ruddy Australian Christian Parents, what do they know, eh?  Well worth waiting for.
Ta very much :D ...more interviews to follow in the next few months hopefully

Thanks a mill for all these - we're compiling them all now, and if we asked them all we'd be talking until next weekend, soooo we'll get through as many as possible but apologies in advance if some of them don't get asked  :)

Really enjoyed the new Stallone movie podcast guys, so thanks for that.

I did find myself wanting to scream "IT'S A FILM!" at Burdis though, with his slavish fussing over innacuracies in the portrayal of weapons and tactics etc.

Cheers Radiator :D

we're going to do a cast with Burdis on his own in the near future - mainly to talk about his Cellar but also to let him vent a bit more :D

Just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to you lot that came to the Cardiff Expo - I met some people but managed to not meet most of you i think :(  Too much running about

I'm glad the posts so far have been positive and hope everyone enjoyed the panel too, which i was frankly, pooping myself over....despite my bloody phone going off, Patrick Goddard saying "p*nis" and Gordon Rennie dropping the F bomb, I think it was all quite well behaved :D

All of the droids I met before/after were bloody great - I totally bottled talking to Gordon Rennie which is probably for the best cuz i'd have gone a bit fangirl - but Mick McMahon, Patrick Goddard and David Roach were lovely...The Mikes Carroll and Collins are 2 of my my new favourite peoples...and PJ remains a star.  Special mention to Ben Willsher who attended Sunday only and brought along sketches for me, Whittle and Blue...he is a proper dude and proper lovely (also very rude).

Good to see HoU, james, and special mentions to the lovely Bolt-01 for enabling my forthcoming trip to rehab and getting us drinks after hours on Saturday..and to another new favourite Commando Forces - if i didn't think he was awesome before, the way he handled a nearly naked man dancing on a table in front of his Mrs in the pub on Saturday was superb.

brain still fried so apols if i've missed anyone - see you next year??  :)

The boarder whose name you couldm't remember - TWICE - was me. Both times. But I;m not offended, honest.  :'(

Another fab podcast, I do love these, but I sometimes wish you didn't love everybody and everything so much. It's veering towards  a 'WE-KNOW-THESE-GUYS-SO-EVERYTHING'S-FANATSTIC'. Try to find somthing to dislike, stir some controversy, spark a debate, it all seems a bit gushing and non-critical at times.

I really wish I could have afforded Cardiff  as well as Hi-Ex, but I'm delighted that we're going to be able to hear that amazing panel.

sorry AGAIN for forgetting :/

we don't know 99% of the creators very well at all so it's not like we're trying to suck up to them or 'gush' (i f***ing hate that word) about their work - we genuinely DO love it - we are the anti-Flint...and we don't really want to start a debate or anything - will try harder next time.

and i didn't like Reaper's art very much but have no idea whether Stace cut it all out cuz i haven't listened back to it, and i am fond of a good ramble.

..also, i'll probably be mean to PJ when we do the panel  - does that count? :)
