Title: Does anyone have a clip of the first ever image of the Titan penal colony?
Post by: Parallaxicality on 02 November, 2017, 09:21:18 AM
I'm doing a Youtube video on Titan and was looking for visual depictions post the discovery of the atmosphere in 1944 but prior to the Voyagers' arrival in 1981. So far Judge Dredd and Doctor Who are it. I could use a more recent depiction but I would like to keep it "pure".

I should also ask for the title, issue and creators so I can credit it.

Thanks in advance! :-)

I'm not sure this counts, but Titan is an important setting in the Marvel Universe. It's the homeworld of Thanos, the villain from the Infinity Gauntlet stories and the big bad of the cinematic universe. Of course Marvel's Titan is a giant city/satellite inhabited by ancient aliens instead of anything realistic, but it's still interesting!

Thanks guys! And yes I think the Marvel image counts, because it shows Saturn, which is the important bit. There was also an abysmal 1962 British show called "Space Patrol" but I'm not including that because it didn't even bother to check if Titan was round.
