Wandering Artist looking for Competition

Hi All,

I am a wandering graphic artist, currently residing in London wondering if anyone knows of any Illustration or Comics competition out there. I'm new to the Forums...to introduce myself a bit, I've lived in three continents and travelled as far as Japan to learn about design, arts and life. What do you mean when you say 'competition'?

There seems to be no news on CBI4 but nosing around the CBR forums should get you more ifnormation. Past competition has been strong and a lot of winners and runners-up have got professional work, so everyone brings their A game there.

I see you've entered the Manga Jiman Competition (any chance of a sample of "The Fox and The Spearman"?) and if you hang around on the forum of the nice people over at Sweatdrop Studios you'll pick up more tips on other competitions, as a lot of the forum members enter things like the RSoM and will share their entries and ideas afterwards (just make sure you dig out the threads there about changes in the TokyoPop contract as their clauses about  the handling of Intellectual Property Rights, in the aftermath of a lot of titles getting dumped and the contracts changing, have caused a lot of people in the comics community to reassess whether they want anything to do with them).

- Emperor:  Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction. I've spent months wondering why I couldn't find any resources, thanks! About The Fox and The Spearman, I want to work on it a bit more, and then I will post it on my DeviantART in early December.

If you guys do Illustration/Strips, please let me know, I would like to know what others are doing as well!
