You probably can, you know. Try and pick up a book called 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain'. I forget the author's name but don't let the amateur-psychology-esque title put you off - it's the only effective practical guide to drawing I've ever seen, and it has made artists of many people who 'wish they could draw'. (The author's not paying me, by the way. I used to teach my own art classes using her methods, and I saw people improve incredibly fast.)

Now, whether you can draw comics is a different story. I most certainly can't.  That takes a whole new set of skills, which I don't enjoy learning and find incredibly difficult.

And if that archer in your avatar is your work, you definitely can draw.

Top Judge Death from PJ, by the way!

That Mongrel pic looks great Bolt!

An old-school, no-bullshit, boys-own action/adventure comic reminiscent of the 2000ads and Eagles and Warlords and Battles and other glorious black-and-white comics that were so, so cool in the 70's and 80's - Buy the hardback Christmas Annual!

The local independent bookshop runs courses based on the book you are talking about plus it sells the book as well and the courses are advertised and named after the title of the book and are directly affiliated with it.

I am pretty confidant about my drawing skillz (most days at least) but picked up that book on a whim a couple of month's back and turns out old dog's can learn new tricks. The idea of turning a picture upside down when you are working from it for reference was a revelation. Seemingly this switches the brain straight in R-mode and focuses you on the relation between negative spaces and all that malarkey so you are drawing what you see rather than what you think you see. I'm not so articulate and unable to condense the book's entire philosophy into one sentence, but I can confirm it worked vetry well and my picca had a slightly less cacky background than usual. I mean I don't use this tip all the time, but when things get tricky it can be very useful at getting back on track.

Anyway, in the spirit of this thread, here's a rather old doodle of me and a friend (you can make your own surmissals who is what)...
