Is it me or has nearly everyone(bar one)entirely missed the subtext of the Dredd story?

What's to show off about?The sly political commentary is what makes the story,IMHO.Without it the story is weaker,merely a furthering of one of the current subplots.
Little things like this is the reason why I continue reading 2000AD.

Cover - so-so.

Dredd - Sheer, bloody brillant. Best story in a while.

Red Seas - The last thing I ready. Actually, I have to force myself to read it. A boring story and dull unclear art make this a real chore to read.

Asylum - Liking this a lot.

Past Imperfect - I just don't get this one at all. The Roundheads are losing, Oliver Cromwell makes a deal with the Devil and the Devil gives him 20th century tanks!!!!!....This seems more like a cop-out than a clever twist, as if the writer was at a loss for a proper ending.

SinDex - This off world adventure is turning out to be slightly more enjoyable than the Download based stories. Sometimes though SinDex are written as real halfwits, which makes one wonder how they have survived for so long.
