Wotcha!

Was going to post this last week but it took a while for my forum account to get set up. Anyway, I gave a talk at this year's Bristol Comic Expo about my experience of submitting Tharg's Future Shocks, from sending my first script to landing my first series. I've since written up my notes as a blog, which covers how I went about submitting scripts and coping with rejection to how I realised there's no such thing as 'breaking in'. Here's a link: http://alecworley.weebly.com/blog/my-future-shock-hell-breaking-into-2000-ad-and-what-i-learned-while-doing-it

I didn't have room to write anything on twists - different types, how they work, and wotnot (at least how I see it) - but will do so sometime soon.

Cheers,
Alec

Nice one indeed.  A very interesting article with some helpful points.  Reminds me I need to pick up those Future Shocks collections.
