Now taking orders. Limited to 500
Holds 28 issues.
Considering I would need at least 60 of these I think I'll stick to my original binding program.
Which is a shame.
I'll probably buy one, just for the collection.

Yeah, I was looking at this, did some swift sums, and came to the conclusion of SEVEN HUNDRED POUNDS. Mind you, it would be amusing if some seriously dedicated and wealthy readers took the entire run in seven or so orders.

I've ordered two of these may become addicted

Yeah I'm really in two minds here. I mean I love the idea of these I really do BUT how much extra shelf space will it require (I'll have my rule out back tomorrow night) and then the cost to get the job done... but damn its tempting...

I nearly choked on my synthi-caff when I saw the per unit price and did the maths myself but regardless* I've taken a punt on four binders which I'll use to store my collection from Prog 1900 onwards, since those issues match the logo on the front of the binder. That will take me to about Prog 2000-something when we might get a logo change? (and a new binder design?) but if not then I'll probably order some more (assuming this design hasn't sold out by then).

*Ironically, just hours before the Thrill-mail hit my mailbox I'd already placed an order yesterday for 2,200(!) 2000AD-size poly bags to (finally) store my collection properly but waddya gonna do? These TCBs sure look tasty. :D

I pre-ordered 2 as well. The thought of the cost of providing for my entire collection is a bit eye watering but if it becomes a _thing_ its something that can be built up over time. I assume these fit the new size only?

Well damnit.

A quick trip to the nerd cave this evening and I'm out. Its not the cost (now I know I can't have them I want them more than ever!) its a space thing. For those of you paying attention I have my Progs stored stood upright on some IKEA shelves (details can be found elsewhere in excurciating ... well ... detail...). Each shelf has 56cm of storage and my test shelf holds 322 Progs, that's 316 regular and 6 end of year. These are held comfortably with plenty of room so they don't get squished.

56cm would give me space for only 6 Thrill Containment Binders, which would hold... wait for it... 168 Prog only. That's only approximately 52% of the current number. I did a second test 28 current Progs measure (if I'm being generous) 5.3cm. When compared to 9cm width of the TCBs, meaning the TCBs require 169% of the shelf space currently needed.

So which ever way you cut it alas I ain't got run to these big boys... now I know that you can't know how sad it makes me. I envy anyone who can find the room for them!

These look great. I had an old thread on here back in September where I was checking interest about a magazine binder mass order to keep the cost down (only for my girlfriend to order binders for all the progs I have here in England as a surprise for my birthday making the point motion my case). I don't think my thread had anything to do with this but it's a timely coincidence. I was going to be ordering new binders for next years progs but these will do nicely. 2 ordered and hopefully there'll be enough interest for Rebellion to keep supplying them. Nice one.

I wouldn't have room for them either.  I have one of the previous binders that were available (red and white logo on grey), but I use it for my Toxic!s.

We can only hope... seeing as the current logo took us back to the 1990's reject, I wonder if we are due for a remake of the mid 1980's 'balloon' logo... it can't be much worse can it?

Demos99,  you do know 2000ad has undergone to my reckoning at least four size changes. Z

In regards to bags it doesn't really matter, especially if you use backing boards.
All mine are bagged in 2000 AD (original) size bags. In regards to the binders, then it may make a difference. I have measured it up as I intend to bind mine professionally (one day).

Good sums, Colin! A mere Eur1,000 investment should get me two Billys and all the binders I need (for the Progs I have anyway). Sadly this is twice as much space as my entire on-shelf comics collection currently occupies, so in the attic they stay.

the new binders are snazzy it has to be said,
ANOTHER great call on the merchandise.

I AM VERY BUSY!
PJ Maybe and I use the same dictionary, live with it.

i do like them. I may order some for the Extremes or the Monthies. I know they won't get 28 issues per binder but it's better than spending £70 on reprints.
