Oh aye, forgot about Charlie Byrne's! There's a good Japanese restaurant near there too if I remember rightly too.

Conference sounds a bit mad - I presented at a similarly paced thing once, but it was only half day session of talks then posters after lunch so wasn't quite that hectic!
To tell the truth, you can all get screwed.

It's actually pretty good - full-on, but good.  No parallel sessions so I'm sitting through lots of stuff I'd normally skip.  Having said that I'm throwing in the towel and heading to the Burren tomorrow!

Had a fantastic day out today - zipping around the Burren with a great windy walk along the Cliffs of Moher followed by a trip to Ennis for coffee and a natter with Brendan McCarthy :o

Galway's been great!  Thanks for all the advice, folks!

Thanks, Link!  Yeah, I had a great time both with the work and the after-work side of things; hopefully I'll get back for a more leisurely trip at some point.  Weather doesn't really bother me although the days I was away from home were the only dry days there in the whole of June - typical.
