I'm so relieved: my computer picked up a virus and had to be rebuilt at the start of the week, and when I came back the message board was gone.

I haven't got time for a whole review, but have to say that I loved London Falling, much more so than most recent new stuff. The art is great, but what gripped me is the complexity of the story, and the way that it doesn't spend the whole first episode setting up the scenario and explaining it all at length - just eases you into the world with the implication of a whole lot more to come. Love it. Especially Green Jen's.

As the boarder closest to Cellardyke, I will be the first to go. Thanks to Urban Dead, I have a pretty good idea of what to do next.

My mother-in-law rang up at 8 this morning in a panic; after reading the Daily Mail she thought she wouldn't live to the end of the day.

Shouldn't it be Journey to the Centre of the Poodle?

Terrific prog - my thrillpower zoomed back up after a disappointing Christmas.

Two minor points.

Surely the cry of 'Rope that mork!' in SD is wrong - they're roping kneebs.

And although I love Cabs, when are we going to stop this format of first page: flashback to small boy being grabbed by invisible monster in the 1920s, followed by rest of story?

Lepers.

I read too much about the middle ages and was paralysed with fear about people with bits dropping off them. In South Wales in the 1970s.

Yep, we should definitely have another CalHab shed soon, when I don't have to leave so early. It was great to meet everyone: Dudley is just the nicest guy, Trout, I owe you a pint, and Dr X, the secret *is* the comics!

I will be there early as I'll have to leave before 10 to get the train back home, so I hope not everyone else is fashionably late, otherwise I'll be reading a prog on my ownsome.

There's no doubt that the university is exploiting you, but I don't think that's an issue in this particular dilemma. You need to concentrate on what's best for you and your long-term plans.
If you're looking for a teaching post when your contract finishes, recent teaching experience will be the most beneficial thing to have; having taught the course once but passed up the chance to do so again will look less impressive.
I would teach the course again as a step towards the next job, because it is enjoyable, and will also be a lot less work second time around.
