After our Sandman diversion the book club returns to more familiar territory as Jules Boyle joins me to discuss Slaine the Time Killer with some stunning art by Glenn Fabry and David Pugh.

Apologies for the dodgy sound quality on Jules’ audio which is enitrely my fault. Fortunately he has loads of fascinating stuff to say and some interesting tales from the world of fandom in the 1980s.

 Have a listen

Actually thought Corden was quite restrained playing the insurance investigator.
HBC’s wobbly Irish accent was terrible and pointless, why not just make her a British?

Not a great film though, lacked some zing and the script could have done with some comedic punch-up.

Hi folks.

Anyone on here know if Issue 13 (Volume 23) 'The ABC Warriors/Volume one' was reprinted/released twice? I have two copies of it and for the life of me dont know how. I remember picking up a 'double' issue from my newsagent. Ive checked both copies and cant see any printing errors etc.
Any help be much appreciated.

Thanks

I think that was the issue where the first one had a misaligned spine image so they reprinted and reissued.
