That's a great idea, but would you need to turn it around if you paste it on the outside of the window?  Then you'd be standing "behind" it inside, so it looks right when viewed from the outside.  (Eh?)

completely confused now  :D

General / The Prog Cover Guessing game
05 December, 2014, 10:13:29 AM
Now this game is particulary easier to play since I've been a subscriber (and the prog is delivered with the cover obscured by the address label) but does anyone else try to channel their latent PSI power and guess the strip which will adorn the cover of the prog each week?
Since prog 1900, I've been right 5 times though The Eagles Dare out of continuity cover threw a 3 week wining streak. Oh and I predict Stickleback for this weekends prog.

do your image on a sheet of tracing paper or similar in boldblack lines, turn the piece of paper over, stick it up on the window up to the light so you can see through and hey presto, everythings on the correct side when you look at it outside!

as amusing as hover kittys are.....

Got parts 2 & 3 today in an ill fitting box so a couple of dings on the corners of the Apocalypse War book but as I havent been charged for these volumes (or the first one) then i'm not too upset.

No sign of any free gifts (apart from the books of course  :) )

Anyone received any of the free gifts? Now that issues 2 & 3 are turning up, the gifts were due to follow and I'm dead interested to see what the Dredd badge looks like and how big/small it is. I'm hoping Planet Replica rather than Prog 300....

As the halloween Barnet Odeon screening didnt get off the ground (and I backed it on kickstarter) I should put my money where my mouth is and attend!

Dredd just launched into it so much I thought I had missed an episode so agree with Colin_YNMA but its was such an action packed episode that it didnt give you a chance to pause for breath. Some fun perp killing from the master of the Law, the line 'Twenty of them and he's got them outnumbered' was a modern Dredd classic quote.

Ichabod was class, who is the mysterious stranger?

Add me to the readers who were a little confused by the art on Stickleback, I hope its not just me that misses a simple plain black line in D'Israeli's art, it looks great but so collage like that its easy to miss some of the action. Bet the original un-lettered pages are works of art!

Greysuit is losing me a little bit, if all the greysuits are as well trained as he is, why is he able to circumvent all their security measures so easily, would they have better countermeasures for this type of scenario? John Higgins art remains great thought the colours are strangely muted, makes the middle section od the prog feel very monochrome due to Stickleback and Ichabod on either side.

Kingdom blasts you with major colour though and it suits the story perfectly, some old school punching blood and guts and insect gore though this weeks hopefully isnt setting up the demise of Gene as he has to activate the bomb spear by hand (which better be bloody powerful to work on that mountain sized 'them'). A great strip.

Still firing on all cylinders all things considered and a top read, well done Tharg and droids.

General / Re: Is Johnny Alpha dead now?

But then again as hes been dead before, he can always come back hence removing some of the suspense from the story. As interesting as its been seeing the second Mutant war and the situations that sparked it off, the story has been lacking a 'soul' for some time now. No fault of the writers or artists just wishing they had not done a Marvel/DC and let sleeping dogs lie (see what I did there :D).

When he forgot to save and lost his work
The end
