Not much more given away in the Forbidden Planet preview of Meg 372; "Judges Rico and Koburn head deeper into the Cursed Earth in Judge Dredd: 'Dust to Dust' by Michael Carroll and Henry Flint"

There aren't enough people left in MC1 now that aren't main characters to justify redshirting anyone, so it will HAVE to be a mainstay...

Polar Bears get 15 - 18 years so that one running around with Max Normal a few years back probably could be deaded. Of natural causes. In a final panel unrelated to the rest of the strip.

'Ack!'
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

My bet is either Dolman or De Marco. John Wagner has moves away from both those characters it seems and especially with him announcing that he's killing someone else off himself Michael Carroll is not gonna get the nod to off a major character like Hershey or Beeny. I don't mind as long as the stories are good, that's the main thing.

Dolman, possibly.
De Marco, I don't think so.

There needs to be a connection to Rico and / or Koburn if their adventure in the Cursed Earth directly follows on from the death of this mystery character.

The fact Grindstone Cowboy's will be set in the Cursed Earth (before the Rico / Koburn story) and will have 'major repercussions' has led this Belgian detective to one conclusion; it has to (seemingly) be: Judge Joseph Dredd.

And I think we can expect a continuation of the Judge Joyce storyline (by Carroll & Holden) to run in the Prog concurrently to Dust to Dust in the Meg, both sans Dredd.

I really hope it's not a death of superman thing
It's a joke. I was joking.
