Agree that the Dredd was a bit too dark - [spoiler]sentencing a dying for deaths caused be not heeding a product recall was quite Dredd enough without adding the likely deaths of his neglected family[/spoiler].  Great little story though, and perfect choice of artist.

Darts legend Eric Bristow aged 60

I thought he'd be older than that.  My mum used to work at his nightclub as a waitress a long, long time ago.  Met him and got signed photos of him and his wife (in his private snooker and trophy room).

...and by long, long time ago I mean 2000AD was still published on bog paper and I wasn't at big school yet.


Ironically, the announcement of the death of Eric Bristow appears on a page the first post of which says: "OOOOOOne hundred and EEEEEIIIIIIGHTEEEEEE!!!!!!!!"

Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction too! Maybe the floppies should reprint Junker, Dead Meat and Trash, and we'll end up loving them...

Was Dead Meat the one with Inspector Raam?  I actually quite liked that one, though all I can remember about it at the moment is Simon Jacobs art...

Id love to see more of Texas City and the other Mega cities around Dredds world.

It should probably be mentioned (neatly proving that thing about pleasing all of the people, all of the time) that "too many world Judge stories" has been a frequent complaint about the Megazine for much of its history...

I think that was true a number of years ago -when we had Shimura and the African Judges etc all running....but times have moved, it been a good while since another Judge system has been centre stage.

Come on powers that be -you know it makes sense 

...other than the Scandinavian one we got within the last six months :-P

I'd like to see more (and more varied) Dreddworld stories - and not necessarily in 2040...

Every page of every story is top-quality work. I loved every panel, but my favourite part was the cameo by Judge Slocum, still pickled after all these years!

Yes, I noticed that but couldn't remember if Slocum was SJS at the time?  Is there any additional significance to his preservation in an SJS court?

Great couple of progs since the last jump-on.  I liked the previous line-up, though there could have been more of a mix of longer-run and short-run stories.

Wondering what that leaves for Nemesis vol 4. That Hammer of Warlocks interlude, Nem v Deadlock, Book 10 and the recent anniversary one off? Would that fill a whole book?
