Bummer. I almost started to panic when I all I saw
was the board.  I haven't been to the site in awhile,
but it looks like I need to snag a few back issues
in digital format. Next week it is then.

General / Re: Nancy Collins sues Sony over U...

Let's face it, it certainly sounds to me that
the script writers could easily spend $40 & read through those RPG manuals for ideas, base
those ideas very similarly on the current RPG,
but snub them out because they don't want to
pay them anything. But these people, if you want
to call them people, at SONY, are part of RIAA
& suing the bejesus out of any kid copying their
'owned' music off the internet.  So they're basically stealing somebody's book ideas to make
their multi-million dollar film, but also suing when somebody, allegedly, steals from them. People didn't write RPG games so hollywood could
use them for scripts after all. I bet if Vampire
Masquerade wasn't written, they probably wouldn't have any clue on the direction. Maybe
they would have to base their script on Monster
Squad (Frankenstein, Dracula, & the Werewolf )instead?  Or possibly Count Chocula & the
others???

I think we should just wait for the free download
of Underworld & boycott Sony! :-P

General / Dredd-Captain America Team-up Crossover
10 September, 2003, 06:04:52 AM
I think this would be an essential cross-over. You have Captain A, the justice of the past, hook up with Judge D, justice of the future. You could unthaw CA into the future to see what his beloved America turned into. It'd be like a
culture shock of some kind I'm sure.  The best writers to team up for this cross-written story would be Wagner & Geoff Johns.

Villains should be something in the 2000AD world
of course. Having CA re-evaluate what he can do & use those leadership skills.

Or better still have him create a Democratic uprising to topple the Mega City govt. Always a good story if I do say so myself. :-)
