Clickwheel.net – downloading digital comics has never been simpler.

Clickwheel.net, the world's leading digital comic provider has had a revamp. Now, if you're after comics for your iPhone or just to read on your PC at lunchtime, with just a simple press of a button and you can enjoy comics anytime, anyplace.

Clickwheel has enjoyed unprecedented success since launch with its bleed of exclusive and unique content, from Joe Loves Crappy Movies to the latest (and vastly archived) issues of the Galaxy's Greatest Comic - 2000 AD and has continued to pioneer the way millions of comics fans can enjoy their favourite comics on the Apple iPhone.

Will Simons, Creative Director of Clickwheel said, "The Clickwheel site and service is continually being looked at and updated so we can provide the best service possible to our customers. The hits to the site have gone up by 700% since last year and to deal with this increased traffic, certain changes have been made. For example, we've made the process of accessing content smoother and quicker, explained the main differences between an iComic and a PDF for first time customers and have provided an environment where everyone can access and enjoy comics of all types quicker than ever before".

Clickwheel is fast becoming the premium distribution platform for other comicbook publishers such as Image Comics, Moonstone, Lone Star Press, Wickerman Studios and a growing number of independent comics spanning many genre's making the site a 'one-stop-shop' for all your digital comic needs!

And to add to this growing content, a brand new, digital only 2000 AD comicbook called '2000 AD Origins' and a new series of the best-selling Judge Dredd 'Metro' comicstrips will be available for the very first time in the US. These strips are free and dedicated to the Apple iPhone.

Will concludes, 'Clickwheel was the first to bring a dedicated comic reader for iPhone to the iTunes App store, we're the first to bring comics solely for iPhone and the first to bring a comic as a weekly download with 2000 AD, and we're not stopping there. 2009 will see a raft of new comics, apps and more pioneering work from Clickwheel – get ready to be excited!'

Has anyone ever used this service ? I m tempted to get a digital sub as my apartment is about to cave in under the pressure of housing so mnay dvds, books and comics.

Yeah, a few times. It's quite good if they keep up to date with what they are doing.
I got the Meg from there a few times as I stopped getting it years ago and wanted to see what it's like now.
I think they are supposed to be a week behind the prog publication date (not sure how long with the Meg) but in the past they have lagged behind quite a bit.
Dumb all over, a little ugly on the side.

Thanks for the reply, I may need to check it out as I have mentioned due to space issues. Lately I ve just been getting case files or trades.

I ve tried this out and am very happy with it. I do still prefer paper but I can have the trades for that. For my weekly prog I ll continue with pdf's as they take up a lot less space.
