Film & TV / Re: Last movie watched...

My friend was trying to drag me to the cinema but there was no way I was going to sit through Green Lantern so we ended up seeing something called The Conspirator which was actually very good.

I didn't even want to punch James McAvoy in the face. Much.

Jeebus, there's a book you could really screw up with spoilers...

Astonishingly good.  I've only read it once, a quarter century ago, but i feel like I can remember every single page.
Luckily I'm finished now, so no need to worry about the spoilers. I thought it was utterly fantastic. Although I was keeping my eyes out for a twist since el chivo mentioned it  ;)

Would you recommend any of his other stuff for after this? Not sure about touching any of his sci-fi yet as I've got a pile of scifi to get through.

Currently reading Ian Banks' The Wasp Factory.
Fairly grim so far but enjoyable. There's a nice flow.

Help! / Re: .pdf file conversion

Cheers looks like an OCR is what I need. My in built scanning software is basic to say the least (HP Scan 3 or something) although the file I have is too big for what you sent. I'll have a look along those lines.

Help! / .pdf file conversion
30 June, 2011, 06:06:11 PM
I've scanned a few pages from a book and compiled them into a .pdf but I'm having lot's of trouble converting the file to extract the text. I'm wondering if you knew anything about this? I'm on a mac at the moment by the way.
Cheers in advance, nev.

Hopefully I'll manage to make it to this one, and I'll be a bit closer to Inverness anyway so it looks likely  :)

Once again, I love your style.

Well; I don't know what I'm working towards for it.
I've got an idea now, and I'm going to do work based on it, see how that turns out, and then maybe make my final piece based on said work.
