Hi there,

Due to various house moves, I've got a whole heap of progs and megazines that I'm looking to pass on to a good home. I'm not really interested in selling them - I'll send them to anyone for just the posting & packing costs. I don't really have the time or inclination to ebay them, so it's this or the charity shop for them.

Here's what I've got to give away:

PROGS:
1352, 1357, 1358, 1360, 1361, 1363
1365-1517 (complete run)
1567-1719 (complete run)
1724

MEGS:
209-248 (complete run)
267-304 (complete run)

SPECIALS:
Prog 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009

Pretty much everything is in great condition - there may be an issue here and there they might be a bit tattered, but they are a mere handful among hundreds. Like I said above, any and all of the above can be yours if you're willing to pay the postage and packing, or totally free if you're willing to come to South London and pick them up.

Some friends of friends had a few words with Dave Gibbons about Watchmen - thought it might be of some interest:

Prog / Prog 1453 - In fact, if you ask the wives...

Because of a subscription muddle I haven't got 1452 yet, so the only story I'm letting myself read is Dredd. And it is gorgeous.

And just how damn fine is that cover!

Classifieds / House Clearance, much for sale on eBay
17 September, 2004, 07:58:27 AM
Due to moving from a huge student lair to a tiny obs-worth box room, I'm having to sell lots of my old thrill power to make room for new waves of mighty prog-and-meg based goodness. Some of you might even want to buy it.

Help! / 2000AD Dissertation Research
25 April, 2004, 09:48:11 PM
I know I've posted this already, but I didn't put a title on the post so a lot of people might have ignored it.

I know what you're thinking - "lazy student writes piss-poor excuse of a dissertation about comics. How lazy can you get?"

But that's not the cas at all. My provisional working title "Don't Move Creep!: A study of changing adult themes within 2000AD" covers lots of serious media analysis topics, like changing audience demographics, development of mediums, social reflections and a whole host of other stuff that media theorists harp on about. I'm sure you don't need to be bored by anymore.

What I am asking for is to ask if anyone (and preferably, everyone) would mind being interviewed (in as much depth as you like / want / have time to spare) about their perceptions, opinions, and reading habits of 2000AD. This isn't focus group rubbish

I'm interested in opinions of anyone who has ever read 2000AD, whether they've been reading since prog 1 or prog 1385. Age, gender, location do not matter one iota. It can be as anonymous as you like.

Contact me either by pm'ing me, or emailing me at hugh_platt@hotmail.com.

I'm afraid that as a poor student I can't provide any financial incentive, but you do get the warm glow of knowing you've helped me out (and the promise of a beer at this year's Dredd:Con).
