Website and Forum / Deleting of accounts/profiles:
12 July, 2011, 03:43:01 PM
This doesnt seem to be an active feature despite it being explained in the help section regarding profiles.I have gone all through the help section and on my account settings and forum profile so i am not clear what is going on here.

It does mention that Admin can disable or remove the feature so am i supposed to request that my profile/account is deleted or do i just let it continue to exist as an active account even if its not wanted ?

Not sure what to do next........

Any help is appreciated.

Games / What kind of TV is best for gaming :
21 January, 2011, 06:29:48 PM
Now have finally got into the next generation of gaming what type of TV is best to make the most of the gaming experience in terms of picture quality ?

I dont know nothing about TVs or what is on the market and i dont know the difference between LCD and High Definition or anything else as i am still using a cathode ray TV that needs replacing so its time to buy some Chinese slave goods.

The only criteria it has to fulfill is size as i dont want the screen to exceed 18" in size as i dont like large TVs as they tend to dominate the room so wether that is a factor that rules out high definition i really dont know.

Cheapness isnt a factor as you get what you pay for and i want quality

Any advice or recommendations is most gratefully received in advance.

Books & Comics / America under Communism comic :
09 January, 2011, 02:56:35 PM
This is well worth reading.

It was printed in 1947 and its interesting that 64 years later its still relevent to the US as i noticed quite a few comparisons to what is going on in the US today like schools and govt undermining the authority of parents and the growth of the Fedral Gubnment that assumes authority over the Constitution and children snitching on their parents etc etc and the use of problem reaction solutions and divide and rule tactics.

Its all in there.

This is the reprint with the printing errors from 2009 that i am after that i cannot find anywhere online.

If anyone has a copy of this that they dont want or no longer read i will pay 50 GBP +postage for a copy in presentable condition.Presumably if anyone has a spare copy it will have lived on a shelf anyway so i dont anticipate that condition would be a problem.

I am not up for swapping anything for it as i dont have anything to swap/exchange.

I wont pay any more than 50 GBP and obviously i wont pay any less so dont even ask  :D

It also goes without saying that i am not a timewaster.

Games / Rogue Trooper - Wii game looking for a new home :
02 September, 2010, 05:33:34 PM
I have had this lying around for a while now.It is an unwanted gift and as i dont have the console to play it on its useless to me so its looking for a new home.

It is unused in box with instruction book.

Anyone interested ??

Any offer will be considered or to save faffing round i will post it free of charge and give it away for nothing to whoever is first to say they want it as thats not much different to giving it away on ebay for 99p and having to pay Ebay Seller Fees.

The first offer posted on this thread gets the game.

General / Belardinelli on Ebay :
05 June, 2010, 10:13:16 PM
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Portrait-by-A-Belardinelli-bearded-gentleman-/320542684761?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_art_Paintings_GL&hash=item4aa1d53659

Can anyone see a similarity here in the artists style here and the physiognomy of the face in the portrait and the artwork of Massimo Belardinelli ?

I can see a certain similartity  but i cannot find any info to connect the two together as Belardinelli doesnt appear to have any well known ancestors but i did read that he was taught by his father and this picture may be by a grandfather or great grandfather perhaps ?

I cant find any info on A Belardinelli either but it is a very competent piece and by someone who must have studied fine art.

I cant tell much from this picture but it obviously looks old and it looks like the picture has possibly always been in the frame that is pictured. The frame is Italian in style because it has carved detailing which is fairly typical and is probably early to mid 19 cent or possibly late 18th cent but its difficult to tell from a poor quality close up.

Any thoughts or opinions anyone ?

Classifieds / The Art Of Bryan Talbot:
18 May, 2010, 06:42:09 PM
I have a signed copy of this and i am open to offers on it even low offers or any offer at all as i more interested in it going to someone who appreciates it rather than its intrinsic value.

Condition is very good and i am selling because i am not a fan of Bryan Talbots artwork.

Anyone interested ?

Help! / MacMail/Mac Application Icon Befuddlement:
19 February, 2010, 01:06:03 AM
I use an up to date Imac and on some websites i click on "contact" to send the website owner an email and when this happens the Apple "applications" icon pops up out the Dock at the base of the screen and then disappears after a couple of seconds. The applications icon is on the lower right hand corner of a white sheet of paper when it appears from out of the Dock rather than how it appears in the finder.

This might sound like a dumb question and i hope that it makes sense to Mac users.Does this have anything to do with the fact that i have never initiated the Macmail feature on this Mac and i am trying to contact another website owner who uses Macmail on theirs ?

Film & TV / The Knowing :
25 October, 2009, 09:53:25 AM
Has anyone seen this film ?

I watched it yesterday and i was seriously impressed with it.End of the world/supernatural thriller that wasnt what i was expecting as i was expecting a big dumb Hollywood film but instead i got a solidly acted intelligently scripted film which was genuinely creepy in places.

Recommended.
