I just received the Block Wars Board Game I ordered through the mail.

Looking at it now thinking to myself, maybe I should pay one my old friends a visit.

Does anybody here play the game?

Maybe we could play the game using ICQ CHAT and perhaps if there's online dice Rolling facility somewhere on the internet.

I've got that and the expansion set Mega Mania.
It's great fun- haven't played it in years mind you.

If you want to generate random numbers (to emulate dice rolls), why not try invoking the mighty powers of the http://gadgets.lintonporteous.net/randotron/">Randotron!

Yeah, thanks for Funt. Though had I had this idea of a online Dice Roller that could be seen by both online players when it's being used.

Looking through the rules, it's ppaers to be just abunch of peopl from the Gmes Workshop that are behind this game.

No mention, of John Wagner or any other 2000AD
affliates.

Though I am familar with the name Jervis Johnson. Stands to reason that he's connected with Games Workshop 'White Dwarf' magzine and 'Warhammer'.

Havieng finished popping out all the carboard place markers and put them into plastic containers.

I'll just get back to reading the rules..........

Now that I am more familar with the rules, I get the feeling that I have actualley been involved in a game of Block Mania in real life.

It's like the pattern of this game matchs the pattern of my existance so far.

Having played the game myself, I'd recommend anything that can generate huge lists of random dice rolls at once, since otherwise you need to roll a dice roughly 30 times every turn once any serious damage had been done to one of the blocks.
Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

I think this may make a excellent board to computer game adaption.

I can familer pattern here that closely follows that of my many of todays RTS computer games.

What with the Block Train station, Carpark ( Transport), Amroury (Weapons), Banks( Money),
Shopping Mall ( Miscellaneous Equipment.), Water Tank (A health requirement), Powerhouse  (Power), Civic areas ( Your population)

I thought Block Mania was okay, and a block war game could be done better.  In the end I got a bit bored and spent my time just trying to get the bazook and structually weaken a block.

However if the idea appeals to you, hold onto your hats as I've been working on something I might be able to post up here.

The Judge Dredd boardgame is lovely though.

Cheers :)
