I think that and him actually being Kid Knee in SD fan film were his most prized things. The glee that radiated from him when he spoke about them was almost a palpable force.

I remember him telling me to keep an eye out for him in it before the film at the 40th and the reaction of everyone when Kid Knee came on screen. The absolute joy on Bolts face.

It just feels like a complete gut punch.
I only met Bolt a couple of times, with over 7 years between them, but he did still remember me after all that time. He must have known everyone in the industry,  probably worked with half of them too. The fact that the FutureQuake table was a meeting spot for everyone shows how important he was. A true pillar of the industry and one of the nicest people in comics.
My deepest sympathy to all his family and friends.

It was an absolutely fantastic event and it will probably take several days to recover from. Meeting everyone was probably the biggest highlight, several familiar faces and plenty of new ones. There were so many stories that I will probably never be able to remember. I was lucky enough to be one of the last people left in to the Strontium Dog film was incredible and is even better then Minty.

Other Highlights included, chatting to a few of the Scottish lads, only to have King Carlos walk past and everyone stopped, mid sentence and just stair in awe at the man for several seconds and having a quick chat with Simon Fraser only to have Jock, Dom Reardon and Al Ewing, join in on the conversation.

The only down side was probably some of the worst staff i have ever seen behind a bar, seeing them trying to ore a pint of Guinness caused me physical pain.

I have my flights and accommodation booked. It has been several years since I've been to a con overseas, so it'll be great to catch up with everyone again.

Off Topic / Re: RIP W. R. Logan

Such sad and shocking news. I never had the pleasure of meeting Stewart, but W.R. Logan was a true legend, it was one of the first names I started to recognise when I first joined the forum and his posts showed his knowledge of Dredd was second to none, even John Wagner's.
My first ever sketch was of a badly beaten Judge Logan by MacNeil. Logan's recurring injuries is a tradition that I hope will continue in Stewart's honour.

Count me in for a donation towards a memorial project.

My deepest sympathies to all his friends and family.

La Placa Rifa.

Been really busy recently, so I was unable to sign up for a specific day, but "Gavinating" continued to take place.
Most of ye already know, every year I give the gift of Thrill-Power to an unsuspecting person. Like previous years, I have tried to spread the word of 2000ad, by leaving gift wrapped copies of the Prog and the Meg around Ireland on behalf of the forum.

Any tidbits from the 2000AD panel on Sunday?

Not really,  Mike Carroll mentioned he has a Dredd coming up and Clint Langley is currently working on ABC Warriors (RoBusters).

I'm just about recovered from a fantastic weekend at DICE. It was nice catching up with everyone again, having a chat with a few new people and getting a few sketches too (pictures will come later today). The change of venue was great too and the fact that it was free access to the bottom floor, where all the small press people were, was a really wonderful idea.
Personal highlights include, The 2000ad panel, seeing Clint Langley work, Mike Carroll's T-shirts and Molcher's Becky Cloonan impersonation.

All the panels are being recorded, so you'll get a chance to see it in a week or two if you miss it on Sunday, Link.

A futurequake presence would fit perfectly at DICE and hopefully we'll see that sometime soon.

I will hopefully be there sometime around midday tomorrow, so I'm sure I will see a few of ye over the weekend.
