QuoteI do think it's a great pity to wipe out a very rare prominent female character (and POC) ... Remove Maitland and Beeny from the strip and there'd be almost no women and certainly none of note.

We used to have Judge Sanchez, whatever happened to her?

(Although I imagine it also made a sound. A squelchy one, probably.)

She's certainly been shot in the head.
We can clearly see the exit sound at the back of her head. She's dead.

Great write-up! The mad king's banquet sounds like a very cool scene, was there an illustration?

Do let us know how the fourth book goes.

I hope not, that would be such a cop-out!

Quoteand then you turn to that double page spread, displayed completely without dialogue or sound effect despite the chaos depoicted there, and it's very powerful.
I agree with that.

As much as I enjoy an unexpected double-page spread like this, I'm not convinced that Maitland is really such a huge character in Judge Dredd to warrant the massive reaction this seems to be evoking in some people (although I'm glad they are enjoying it).

That sounds like a fun book actually. You have some pretty fancy magic powers! I like the bit where you get one if your enemies to strangle the other one. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

I hope you do, I'm interested in that one.

I started Nightshift a week ago, although I've not had time to keep it up since then. It's pretty good though. I'll do a review when I've finished it. It might not be suitable for a full playthrough though, because it's largely puzzle-oriented so it would be quite spoilery!

I completely agree with everything people have said above about Deadworld. Good art though.

Wasn't Jonny Depp exonerated? Or was there some other scandal which I've missed?

Well it seems to be working normally again anyway.

Has anyone else noticed this issue today or is it just me? I am normally permanently logged in, but I came here and found I was logged out, and when I tried to log in it kept saying I couldn't, and suggesting I check my cookie settings. But I haven't changed them, and other websites where I am still logged in are working fine. (Sometimes it says "Verification questions not configured properly. Please report this error to an administrator.")

After a few attempts I finally did manage to log in somehow (even though I didn't try doing anything different), but then every time I move to another page I get logged out again! (Posting this message was a chore!)

It is a really good book, and I'm glad you're enjoying it. It's just a shame it becomes so unfair on the home stretch!

Looking forward to hearing about the others in that series.
