Title: Old Vertigo Comics (With New Publishers)
Post by: Ancient Otter on 26 January, 2017, 10:13:57 PM
Seen a few old Vertigo titles popping up with different publishers - War Stories by Garth Ennis to complete the tpbs put out by Avatar, Seekers into the Mystery & World Without End by Dover Publications and The Other Half and User to come from Image Comics.

Dark Horse reprinted Dean Motter's Terminal City. Which was originally at Vertigo.

I wonder what the story is DC's ownership rights these days - I can't imagine many Vertigo titles were creator owned.

I would say they're the same as they've ever been - anything created as work-for-hire is DC's, anything else (which would have had 'copyright the creators') wouldn't be :)

I think it varied. Former DC titles like Sandman or Swamp Thing, definitely not. But for most I think it's the same deal as Watchmen, if it goes out of print for X years. You get it back.
