They have included some real crap in this collection, yet they are omitting Pirates of the Black Atlantic?

WTF?

I'd like to see a collection comprising all the interviews with artists and writers that appeared in the Megazine, plus the articles.

How about a collection featuring all the stories from the kids spin off comic from the film, was it called Lawman of the Future?

there was a failed attempt to make this a film a few years back starring British Karate Champion, Paul Lapsley as Mike Fallon that tried to raise funds via kickstarter but only had less then £500 pledged, but they did make a trailer

That trailer is awful! No wonder they couldn't get any pledges!

News / Re: Rebellion To Reprint The Last American

While I am sure that Rebellion have done their sums etc, the majority of their limited hardback range seems to sell out, bar Slaine.

And while most other publishers, not just the big two, Marvel & DC, but also Image, Dark Horse, IDW, Dynamite, Avatar and Titan seem to be able to publish the vast bulk of their titles as hardbacks first before going to softcover.

While 90% of Rebellions catalogue will be softcover only.

I get that some stuff is niche, but Titan can put out Elric, The First Kingdom and Jonny Nemo in Hardcover, and that stuff (while great, is very niche).

Does stuff like The Crossed, Turok Dinosaur Hunter or Satellite Sam have a bigger audience than Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Rogue Trooper, or work by Mills / Wagner / McMahon like The Last American?

Listed as a paperback over on Book Depository

Very disappointing.

Rebellion seem to be very reticent about printing in hardcover, which is a real shame. All my 2000AD stuff looks pretty cheap on the shelf next to Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse etc.

Given the sales of the ABC Warrior Mek Files, The Cursed Earth, Urban Warfare and Dark Justice, which all sold out, what is their issue with presenting more of their back catalogue in a deluxe format that collectors would appreciate?

If we end up with 80 volumes including Calhab Justice, BritCit Brute and Darren Dead but excluding Kenny Who?, Otto Sump and Graveyard Shift then there has been a serious error of judgment in compiling the collection.

If they are omitting Graveyard Shift and Kenny Who? then that is two of the all time greatest Judge Dredd strips missing from the collection.

Looking good and will definitely be booking my tickets when they go onsale.

Not trying to sound greedy, but any chance of adding Brian Bolland, Ron Smith, Cam Kennedy, Gerry Finlay Day and Alan Moore to the line up?

I would suggest Nemesis the Warlock: The Necro Files!

Volume 1: This would be the Kev O'Neill volume (aided by Jesus Redondo). Terror Tube, Killer Watt, Osrics Quest, Nemesis Books 1, 2 & 3. Then Ego Trip, A Day in the Death of Torquemada, Torquemada on Holiday (in proper colour please), The Tomb of Torquemada and You Are Nemesis.

Plus all the covers and pin ups by Kevin O'Neill and Jesus Redonso (including the Eagle and Titan stuff which usually gets omitted).

Volume 2: The Bryan Talbot volume. Nemesis Books 4, 5 and 6 and You Are Torquemada.

Plus all the covers and pin ups by Bryan Talbot (including the Titan stuff which usually gets omitted).

Volume 3: The John Hicklenton / David Roach volume

Torquemada, Nemesis books 7, 8 and 9.

Now, if Rebellion are willing to do the work, they need to start contacting everybody they can find who owns a page by John Hicklenton. The scanning and printing process at the time did not do justice to his work. I have seen pages of his work up close, and the amount of details missing is shocking.

And of course, ever cover, star scan etc.

Volume 4: The final years.

The Shape of Things to Come, Bride of the Warlock, Hammer of the Warlocks, Nemesis book X

What I said about John Hicklenton: The same applies to Clint Langley's work. I have a page they can borrow to scan.

And of course every cover, star scan etc.

I'd love to see better quality reprints of Strontium Dog and Nemesis in hardback in the style of the recent Mek-Files for Ro-Buster and ABC Warriors, as well as Dan Dare and the Cursed Earth.

The Strontium Dog episodes in Starlord featured painted artwork by Ezquerra, Gibson and McCarthy that is printed in B&W in the SD Agency Files, plus numerous covers and star scans are missing.

The print quality in the first volume of Nemesis is shocking, and again numerous covers and pin ups are omitted.

I PM'd you. Didn't hear back.

This is a fantastic volume, beautifully presented.

And it is wonderfull to see those missing 4 episodes back in print. Some amazing artwork by Bolland and McMahon, it's criminal that it's been missing for some 40 odd years.

The reproduction is great.

I do have one gripe though. For an "Uncensored" volume, a total of 7 pages are missing by my estimation.

Cover to Prog 74 by McMahon.
Cover to Prog 82 by Bolland
Cover to Eagle Comics Judge Dredd 5 by Bolland
Cover to Eagle Comics Judge Dredd 6 by Bolland
Cover to Eagle Comics Judge Dredd 7 by Bolland
Cover to Eagle Comics Judge Dredd 8 by Bolland
And Cliff Robinson's recreation of the cover of 2000AD issue 61, that was used in 'The Complete Judge Dredd' magazine (I don't know the issue).

The reproduction of the covers for the two Titan volumes is a little weird as well.
