NECRO-POST!!!

The above were done in 2004 - due to costs and the artist relocating to Oz, they've never been completed.

And because I am very picky, I've never found the right person to complete them. Original plan was to get them filled in black, with flame for Fire, but the more recent Dark Justice etc made me think colour would be the better option when I finally got around to getting it completed.

By pure chance, an apprentice in one of our local studios recently outed herself as a Dredd fan so I organised a consult. In the meantime I found https://www.bookdepository.com/Judge-Dredd-Dark-Judges-Alan-Grant/9781684050444 in Forbidden Planet...didn't know it existed, and then saw the coloured version of the scene my tattoos are based on.

Popped in for the consult on Saturday, artist pings me the initial concept for what she wants to do with them...

Roll on 12th March.

Airbourne, on Friday night just gone down in Southampton...bloomin' marvellous.

Got Max & Iggor Cavalera on 11th December, doing the 'Return Beneath Arise' Sepultura set.....however, due to the SWR train strike crap going on I may not be able to do it as last train out of dodge that night is about 10:30  >:(

Family gig trip on 21st - Alter Bridge up in the O2 in the Millennium Dome.

As an Irish man, I dream of having a lover who grows spuds out of their body for my sexual gratification. And pisses whiskey.

Would you settle for Poitín instead?

Matt Berry in What We Do In The Shadows is absolutely making my week. "Remove your fangs, ungrateful creature!"

BAT!!!!

He's also in 'Year of the Rabbit' on C4, coming up soon - a Victorian era cop show.

Finished it last night - my wife can be considered the fan, as she loves Neil Gaiman and anything he does, and she loved it. I'll be honest and say that I've never read the books so went in fresh - and I enjoyed it too. Drags a little in places, but overall a good romp.

So sad to hear about Peter. A gloriously warm giant. 43 years on from first his donning the walking carpet, my daughter will wake up this morning beside her cuddly Chewie, under her two Chewie posters and put on her Chewie dressing gown and then i'll have to tell her the news.

:-(

Our girls found out this morning via the radio - we (wife and I) were upstairs when we suddenly heard "No, not Chewie!" from downstairs. Thankfully they were OK with it, no tears, but felt really sorry for them when I heard that.

Ha ha, both of my children were 7 before they slept through their first night.....and they overlapped. So, 10 years without an unbroken night! And sleep deprivation is TORTURE!

Our first daughter was an absolute star with regards to sleeping - 6 weeks in and she did a full night, and it never changed from then onwards.

Then our second came along and decided that she wasn't going to do a full night until she was 3 and a half.

After an aborted visit (due to the weather) to the Steelhouse Festival in July last year, we finally got our 2 girls to their first major gig on Wednesday night - Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators with Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons supporting.

Youngest (almost 9) loved the support - she loves Motorhead, so hearing Phil Campbell knock out a few songs (including her favourite 'Born to raise hell') hit the mark. She lasted 4 songs of the Slash set before managing to zonk out in her seat until the last song of the main set so she managed to hear that and the 2 encore songs.

Eldest (10) loved the whole thing - singing, dancing, rocking out with my wife beside her doing the same. Brilliant bonding for them, and they're already looking in to the what their next gig together will be (while I stay home with the youngest, natch)

A work colleague struggling to remember the name of something comes up with the following:

"What do they call those boats that float?"
The answer he wanted to hear was 'Hovercraft' but the answer he got was "That would be a boat"

Cock
sucker!

I'm sorry, the spirit of Al Swearinjun compelled me.

Saw a stat once about Deadwood - 36 episodes of the show,
cocksucker
is used over 300 times. And
fuck
was used almost 3000 times.

Remember kids - swearing isn't big or clever....but from the mouth of Al Swearengen, it's bloody poetry. (And he wasn't called Swear Engine for nothing)

Finally got around to actually paying attention to the video for the absolutely stonkin' "In walks Barbarella" by Clutch, to find that it's not:

"Heard you got detention three times this week
Playing with the bad kids, damned by the clique"

But is actually:

"Heard you got detention three times this week
Playing with the bad kids down by the creek"

Have a video too:

* The Pink Elephant**, maybe?

That was the name of the club night in the Zoo Bar, wasn't it? I seem to recall that was the name, but then.....I was very, very drunk (Zoo Bar....Saturday afternoons....2 for the price of one cocktails before Bruxelles)
