I do love Mike Dorey, one day when I get back on top of the Heroes blog he'll get his turn! Anyone know if he's still drawing?

Looks like it:
QuoteFor the last 20 years he has worked in advertising. He lives near Burwash, East Sussex.

I've just listened to the Cradlegrave one. Excellent stuff enlightening stuff from you both.

Hellblazer #51 is was a good recommendation as well. It's baffling that Smith never got a proper run in US comics, that issue is a match for any of the Delano and Gaiman/McKean work, and is light years ahead of anything any other creators have done with Hellblazer.

Cheers @Calhab

I've now got a copy of Hellblazer #51 and it's great. A perfect fit for Smith and Philips, and a great shame there wasn't more.

I think he got offered a mini series 'Scarab' that was originally meant to be the character Dr Fate. I think he fell foul of the editor. Whilst Vertigo claimed to be shocking/ground breaking I think it fell into quite a familiar groove that John just didn't fit. The mid 90s was very cute Goth (outside of Ennis, Milligan & Morrison going full guns!)

I love a good John Smith tale more than most but it's not hard to imagine the problems that might ensue when Shelley Bond said "So, one issue a month then, John?"

David Grice returns to a 2012 3D book club to discuss the lovely Urban Warfare hardback from Arthur Wyatt, Henry Flint, Paul Davidson, Matt Smith, Chris Blythe et al

Check it out here

"A question of attribution."

I'm told it was Robo-K33f himself who came up with the top, top punnage title for Urban Warfare, and not Matt TMO.
Excellent work, sir.

More love for the Horned God as Roland Ungoed-Thomas steps into mythology book club to chat about a true masterpiece from Uncle Pat and the Biz.

Really enjoyed that podcast. And now i want to read the Leopard from Lime Street! Also, nice to hear of a superhero operating in my home town of Celbridge ;)

One of the best podcasts yet (I'm a bit behind, trying to avoid spoilers...)
Been trying to think of a better banner/logo than Leopard, but no luck It's fantastic.
