Thanks Strontium :)

I can't pm on here, my account needs upgrading. If you give me a list of what you want painted and whether you want it tabletop or display standard, I can give you a quote. No obligation of course. Probably easiest to do it through my Facebook page or you can email me  - old_cho@yahoo.co.uk

Temponaut, those are really neat and clean and you've got some great detail like the teeth. If you wanted to take the next step with them, they'd just need 1 highlight colour in the obvious light catching parts. Then a Citadel wash to blend the highlights and catch in the recesses. If you did that to the same standard as your base coating, they'd be better than most people's tabletop standard. They're already better than a lot of stuff I've seen used.

Pre-painted miniatures aren't my thing, but through that link I discovered the Judge Dredd wargaming rules are free! Now to convince my friends to give it a go. :D
Don't think they're pre painted are they?

General / Cam Kennedy article
12 September, 2012, 02:20:30 AM
I'm new, so please forgive me if this has already been posted. Just thought that this was quite a nice article, even though it talks about the sad news of Cam's failing eyesight.

I also found the Cam Kennedy sketchbook thread, but I can't post there on my restricted access.
Just emailed him in the hope that there might be copies still available. *crossed fingers

Games / Re: dredd vs zombies

It's an uncomplicated top down shooter. Pretty addictive and very nicely put together. Details capture the Dredd ethos nicely. Well worth a play.

Had similar issues to Keef Monkey targeting secondary objects though, but that's the only real issue.

Didn't realise they were doing a kickstarter. I found their stuff the other day, when I was looking for the old Citadel minis online.
I have a copy of the old RPG, but I've not played the skirmish game.
Have to try and get some of the guys down geek club into it!

Thanks :)
Well it must have been fate, I had £2.36 spare change from my trip to the shop this afternoon...

Was surprised that the movie cover wasn't the 'all new stories' issue, so I was a little lost for most of it!
Next prog: The Death of Dan E-Cannon eh? Subtle.

Thanks w3bz, at least I've had a couple of days to ponder my opening post!

That's about as up to date as I am on 2000AD.

Navigated my way here via the Alex Garland interview, which along with everything else I've read has only made me more excited about seeing Dredd. Hopefully get a chance to see it this week. I've just reread The Judge Child Quest and am currently rereading Warlord to get back into the right Dreddspace.

I've read some other great comics, (love Shirow Masamune, Alan Moore, Blacksad books) but it's great revisiting 2000AD. I'm a real fan of Dredd, Nemesis, Slaine, Ace Trucking. My favourite Dredd probably dates back to the 80's and my favourite art is probably the b/w Cam Kennedy stuff.

So what awaits my old school tastes in todays 2000 AD? What's changed and what hasn't? Do you have any recommendations for 2000 AD books to pick up, post-2000 AD?!

Look forward to chatting comic geek with you. :)
