I have some data. A grey row is non-strip content like a floating cover or a poster (or teaser) or article.

These are all under the Judge Dredd banner.

This doesn't help with where these got reprinted, but it does show you publication order (although I've separated out prog, meg & specials in each year).

That's absolutely amazing work!

A few of those stories are collected in the trades I've noticed, is there anything in there that would be deemed absolutely essential in regards to the overall Dredd timeline?

I used to enjoy sourcing back issues to make sure I had certain stories that were relevant to the overall narrative, such as Regime Change etc

Also I read somewhere there's a Wagner penned story where a ring with special powers is found by a salvaging mutant or something?

That's the Dead Zone:

You can find out a lot about the order of things from Barney, which is accurate at the moment up to 2174.

Almost accurate. It lists Karl Stock with the artists instead of the writers, and lists someone called Katy Rex who has no credited work.

Lovely stuff thanks Richard.

Can I ask where in the Timeline The Dead Zine fits in?

In many cases the trades contains similar themed stories or stories grouped  by a main story arc. So reading them in chronological order is not always possible but my best guess is to read it in the following order:

Trifecta - https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/graphic-novels/more-dredd/XB476
Titan - https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/graphic-novels/more-dredd/XB573
Every Empire Falls- https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/graphic-novels/more-dredd/XB602
Col Wars - https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/graphic-novels/more-dredd/XB656
Machine Law - https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/graphic-novels/more-dredd/XB671
The Small House - https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/graphic-novels/more-dredd/XB669

Again, thanks massively!

Can I be a nuisance and ask where Control fits in? Also I read somewhere there's a Wagner penned story where a ring with special powers is found by a salvaging mutant or something?

Machine Law

https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/graphic-novels/more-dredd/XB671

Contains two stories:

Machine Law Prog 2115-2122

The Small House

https://shop.2000ad.com/catalogue/graphic-novels/more-dredd/XB669

Contains the story arc The Small House plus two supporting stories:
The Act of Grud Prog 2004-2006
The Small House
Prog 2100-2109
Pets Prog 2134

Ah that's great thanks massively broodblik!

Are you able to let me know the other trades released since 2015 that I need to get and the order in which the stories appear? I know there's a few other like 'Cold Wars' and 'End Of Days' etc

Thanks Funt Solo.

So if The Small House and Machine Law are set in 2100-2109 and 2115-2122, am I likely to already have those stories in other collections?

I already have the original Mechanismo Rebellion trade, does this new one essentially just collect that?

Hi guys, my first post here!

I've just rediscovered my Dredd trade collection where I attempted to collect pretty much everything Dreddverse - Case Files, trades, spin-offs, back issues of 2000ad and the Meg etc and got myself up to early 2015 when I cancelled my subscription (The Dark Judges 'Dark Justice' had just started).

I painstakingly created a list of the order of all the Dredd stories and the years in which they happened which I would be more than happy to post if anyone's interested!

I'm really interested in getting everything I've missed up until now so if anyone can fill in the blanks I would massively appreciate it! I know there have been a few collections released - Cold Wars, The Small House, Mechanismo: Machine Law etc) but not sure in which order they would fit in the timeline.

Are there any other significant things that have happened since the whole Day Of Chaos saga?

Also there were a few spin-offs being released such as Insurrection, Mega City Undercover etc so would be keen to know what else has been released in the meantime also.

Thanks massively much in advance!

General / Rebellion/Mega Collection

I keep reading about these two (seemingly) different publications, can anyone shed any light on the differences between the two?

I have a healthy Rebellion collection which I'm looking to gradually flesh out, but slightly concerned I may be missing a trick with the Mega Collections?

Thanks in advance

Cool thanks for the help guys, much appreciated.

As a completist I'm gonna have to cop all of those titles, are there any other stories over the last couple years (prog or meg or meg floppy) that would be worth getting back issues of?

Thinking I might subscribe again also!

Hi all, after taking a brief sabbatical from summer 2014 onwards I'm firmly back in the Dredd camp after the recent revelation of the TV series announcement!

I subscribed up until I think summer 2015, are there any noteworthy storylines I've missed out on in the Dredd universe that are considered canon and that I need to swot up on? What progs/megs etc?

Also the last GN I got was Trifecta, there's been a few since then so what order would they appear in?

Thanks in advance guys!

Dreamt I'd murdered Steven Fry once. I'd gotten away with it to an extent but the net was closing in, it was a terrible feeling of impending doom knowing I was soon to get caught.

Strange really, as I've got absolutely nothing against old Bent Nose, I actually rather like him. Even if he can be a bit of a misery sometimes...

You think there's the potential for Dredd to bump into Ramos, Sinfield and his aide etc? Or would they be strictly Wagners property at the moment?

Well as far as I know,
Hershey's clone was 'terminated' via a chip inside its/her head. Hershey had it put in as a fail safe. Of course Dredd isn't that happy seeing as the clone killed quite a few of his fellow Judges and he didn't know about this implant. He wanted to see the clone terminated earlier, but Hershey resisted.
The moral of the story? Dredd is always right (well 99.9% of the time!).
Cool thanks for your answer, although I kind of got all that. It's just strange for Hershey's last line to be "I wanted to know who was controlling them" when we never actually find out who it was. To be left open ended for a follow up perhaps? All a bit Judda isn't it...

Please forgive me but I still don't quite get the end to 'Nurture', can anyone enlighten me?
My brain isn't quite as sharp as it once was......

A (sort of) happy ending in Dredd also! When was the last time that happened??
