Regarding Aliens...

I always thought that the colonist was infected by a Queen Alien, which escaped and then laid eggs.

The problem is how you get more curious colonists to stick their head in an egg - I guess you could get a couple of maintenance workers stumbling across the new batch of eggs in the reactor, and it escalates from that.

I'm trying to remember what the media were like before 24-hour news channels.

I watch a lot of News 24, but I tend to turn it off when stories like this happen as well, as they just binge on the event, regardless of whether there's any news or not.

I was quite surprised that they broadcast that interview they'd made with the guy, with some pathetic excuse that it was in the public interest. I would have thought not prejudicing a potential trial might have had a slightly higher priority.

Still, at least you've got Littlejohn to tell people what to think.

Film & TV / BBC Two's "The Verdict"
13 December, 2006, 04:51:46 PM
The BBC are running a reality show based around the 'celebrity' jury in a fictional rape case.

Jurors include Jennifer Ellison, Michael Portillo, Megaman, and Sara Payne.

Is it just me, or is TV beyond help?

Nope.

It's from the making of Robocop "Flesh and Steel" on the DVD.

I did consider posting a greyscale pic of a Dredd Action figure.

It might as well be.

I've been buying it, and enjoying it - although I've hardly read any Marvel strips prior to this, so I wouldn't know if they were acting out of character or not.

Khronicles of Khaos is the first Kev Walker painted ABC Warriors, which was followed by Hellbringer.

There was also a Nemesis Solo Strip by Henry Flint between those two stories and the recent Mars stories.

There were a ton of snowmen gags in Calvin and Hobbes, maybe there?

I thought they might just turn it into a deathmatch.

I'd expect a Bengal Tiger vs Polar Bear final.

I read a quote from Anneka Rice on this programme "if you turn of your computer tonight, you could save a Polar Bear"

I wonder how many she could have saved if she hadn't flown all over the country in Treasure Hunt?

I didn't catch this, but I've been reading about it. Did anyone catch it? Was it as bad as it sounds?

Planet Earth meets X-Factor.

Having a programme devoted to saving animals via phone vote, combined rampant consumerism during the commercials seems an unlikely combination.

I miss his traditionally coloured work to be honest.

I think Necropolis was his finest hour, I'm not as keen on his computer colouring.
