From February winner
Andy Lambert:
QuoteSomething along the lines of the occult could work - so it would include Caballistics Inc, Harry Absalom, Bec & Kawl, Ampney Crucis, etc...
YOU HEARD THE MAN. Things are about to get witchy 'n' weird, have a play with some of the paranormal delights within Tharg's canon and don't forget BARNEY IS YOUR FRIEND (http://2000ad.org/?zone=thrill&page=index).
There will be a GN straight from the nerve centre for the winner of course, and one for Tharg's Choice - and there will also be a bonafide 2000 AD droid choosing their favourites - all entries will be viewable here, on our dedicated FB page (https://www.facebook.com/2000adartcomp/?fref=ts), and also on the official 2000 AD Tumblr and Twitter!
Rules for the art comp are these:
- It must fit the theme.
- You can enter as many times as you like but bear in mind it will split your vote
so it may not be worth it. - All entries have to be constructed
specifically for this competition - so nothing you've done for anything else.
- You can enter either here or by directly putting it on our FB wall here: https://www.facebook.com/2000adartcomp/
YOU HAVE UNTIL THE 26th OF MARCH WHEN WE SHALL AGGRESSIVELY MOUNT THE VOTING BROOMSTICK.
Hoping to see some Deadlocks, Nemesii, Great Uncle Baals, Reveres and the like!
Armoured Gideon also. And that witch whose name I've forgotten from Mega-City One...
Started early this month.... If I can grab the Dicemans out of the loft, might enter twice!

Is everybody else saving their entries for the thirteenth tomorrow?
I throw this word around alot on these threads, but Leigh that is brilliant! :o
I agree with Woolly, that is ghoulishly good! Excellent start to the contest!
Leigh - That is great! Good Dredd reference, nice and creepy. I like the "grud key" and Not Justice appartment approved" details too.
That's fantastic.
Clever clever clever - perfect start

Lovely Deadlock - design-wise, one of my favourite characters..!
Kinda wish I could take part this month, but even if I was allowed to, I just haven't got time.
Hope everyone else is beavering away on something spooky.... who doesn't love a bit of the paranormal..! ;)
Lovely work, Albion. Would that be some Luke Kirby Krackle?

Inspired by it yes.

So that's where Luke got his Krackle from - his cousin Jack...

Two lovely pieces of art there. Loving that Tarot deck of cards.
Those tarot cards, wow... just wow.

Nice Kabala touch there!
Probably the nearest thing we'll have to a 2000ad Top Trumps..!
Lovely Nemesis portrait from Alan too!
After months break from art comp, now back with new entry.

OOOOH. Nice.
Great entries. How many times in one thread can I ask myself "why didn't I think of that?".
Wow, these are all top notch entries. Great coloring by Goaty, awesome Nemesis, and De Witt strikes again!
I always think of an idea and intend to enter the comp each month but rarely make the time. A way to make more time would be to read less 2000 AD in the evenings and spend the time at the drawing board...too addicted to reading so maybe staying up later would solve this dilemma!
Lovely work, Folks. Here's a Deadlock, to add to the mix.

Bloody hell that eye is the stuff of nightmares, in the best possible way!
Liking the Deadlock - there's something about it that makes me think a lizard has donned the helmet!
Thanks chaps. Sheridan, good spot. I always get the impression there is something more.....organic, behind his mask. ;)

This may be my favourite art comp ever. Awesome work!

This isn't an entry.
I'm aware of the rules - I just wanted to join in on the fun ;)

Wow - that's quite something. Really love that. What a month.
I'm appreciating the love for the Dark Judges and Deadlock this month. Glad you joined in Andy anyhow, great work as always!
Some very nice responses to the theme this month :)
Here's my entry. Trying out the Mischief app on my lunch break, after hearing about on the Dave Kendall "From the Drawing Board" youtube video. Loving that series on YouTube right now!

Mischief is free and worth a look, although trying the free version has just convinced me I need to buy the full version. https://www.madewithmischief.com/

Amazing art as always on the so called doodle thread, top notch Alpha's, Anderson and the Mean Machine :)

Bugger posted in wrong thread :(
I think I prefer your Nemesis in black and white, Filippo - just seems all the more striking in it's simplicity.
Thanks for the comment Rogue Judge - much appreciated.
Great work from everybody - some really nice ideas on display! :)

yeah- it's almost like the skull of the arch-deviant after he has been cleansed and purified.
My entry for the comp. "Bec & Kawl: Kids Version". Homage to old Harvey Comics.

Great variety of entries, as usual. Here's mine. Doodled in Procreate on the iPad, which really is an excellent app.
