Seems like Absolute Swamp Thing vol 2 is sold out (again), but noticed on Books etc that they've got the Akira 35th Anniversary boxset for £100:

Not sure what sort of price this goes for normally but seems a pretty good price. I've never actually read the whole thing (started collecting the Epic run when it started but never stuck with it) and the softcover versions go for around £15-20 each so it's around the same price for all six volumes in hardcover (plus an additional book, Akira Club) so I've gone for it.
You won't regret it - it's a lovely box set of an awesome story. It was this boxset that dragged me back into comics after a long hiatus. Like you I'd never finished the story and when I saw this advertised I thought - hell yeah. Since then I've filled a couple of bookcases.
Quote from: Colin YNWA on 22 August, 2020, 01:37:29 PMHa ha, well thanks I guess. I bought The Bradleys paperback collection plus the last Hate collection (Buddy Buys a Dump) a couple of months back which led me to eyeing up the Neat Stuff collection for a while, but with no real expectation of actually buying it at the £30-£40 asking. I occasionally check prices of a few books on my want list using a price comparison site and just randomly saw it had dropped to £20, so jumped at it. I wasn't sure what to expect when my copy arrived - it's a nice set but chunkier than I anticipated (I tried to find a video review on YouTube to gauge the size) so I've had to do yet another bookshelf shuffle and chucked some stuff on eBay to make room.Quote from: bernardsfingers on 12 August, 2020, 05:30:35 PM
If you're into Peter Bagge you can currently get the Complete Neat Stuff double hardback set for under £20 from Book Depository via Amazon at the moment (RRP apparently £53.00, Amazon have it listed for £37). As a 3rd party seller I'm not sure how many copies they have though.

Well this has landed on my return from holiday and by all that is unholy this is a wonderous thing. One of the best things I've spent £20 in my misbegotten life. Its just magnificent. Amazing production value and flicking through the two volumes comics I'm very ready to revisit. Superb and if you've not picked this up and have £20 licking around you'd be a fool not to pick this up.
bernardsfingers I salute you.
Quote from: IndigoPrime on 19 March, 2020, 11:11:26 AMHa ha yeah it's about twice the size of the accompanying Slaine book (or is that one particularly slim?)
65/66 here also, in a card envelope that looked like someone had given it a serious kicking. I took photos, expecting another replacement request was imminent. Somehow, the books are both fine. I've no idea how. (There was an actual chunk missing from the envelope.) That Strontium Dog book is a bit chunky, isn't it?
Also, my delivery note said I'd be charged 40 quid, for some reason. So I need to check on that. Again.
