Books & Comics / Re: German Comics
26 November, 2014, 08:45:54 PM
Wenn man nichts Gutes (über deutsche Comics und deutschen Humor) sagen kann, sollte man lieber schweigen.
:-X
Deutsche sind zu rational um Comics zu schreiben.
Schenke deinem Bruder besser ein gutes Buch.

So you have to ask to be given Non SpamBot status or say something about how Mr.Clement's toes really get you sweaty?

Did it worked? Maybe calling out his name three times to summon him like Beetlejuice is better...
...I would like to add a profile pic, please...

Now that is an interesting thread.

My first name is James and C is the initial of my surname.

because I liked the echo part that comes from combining name and surname.

I will hijack this thread with this demand: it's been a long time that I'm after the german language GN "Torturer" by Mills and Hicklenton (the regular version below, not the "white" cover variant), so if some German member of this Forum manages to put his hand on it for me, that will make my day! Thanks in advance!

You mean something like this:
http://www.comicmarktplatz.de/ann/212877.torturer

I'm too busy to buy this for you until February, but maybe someone else from Germany could. And I would recommend to ask the seller if this is indeed the german comic, and for more pictures.

If you have a local comic book store they can order them direct from any international distributor, who they'd have to deal with anyway to buy American comics. We don't distribute directly overseas and never have.
Thanks for the reply, I'll try that.

If there was indeed a big enough market we'd have heard from a native publishing company wishing to do a foreign language version by this point [..]

Reading Dredd stories in german is a terrifying thought. I'm happy with the original, thank you ;)

I'm wondering how many germans are at this forum?

Me, I am not german, but I live since 1989 in GE. I am wondering how high the woman quote is ;)
This came up on Google: https://www.comicexpress.de/verlage.php/Rebellion/2000+A.D.
Viel Erfolg damit :)

There are many comic fans in Germany who would like to get 2000ad, or the Megazine, but it looks like Rebellion is not really interested on the german market.

Thankfully there are also the digital versions.

I would like to buy the Megazine from a german store.

Me too. But I don't believe this is ever going to happen.

Help! / Re: Printer help.
26 October, 2013, 08:58:31 PM
What do you need it for? Colorprinter, or B/W? I use a samsung B/W laser printer. And I would rather buy a laser color printer, that a cheaper inkjet. But it depends on what you need.
And run away, when you hear kyocera...brrrr...
