A small blog about one of the more neglected 2000AD institutions. Updated daily (or 7-times-a-week) 'ish.

Oh, thanks for that. Nice reading.
More like Future Shock'd - A fucking genius blog of some significance!
A brilliant idea BPP, can't wait to get into this!
You're both too kind, glad you like the look of it.
Darn good blog! Keep it up!
Nice one! I like this a lot.
Good to see this go public, keep up the good work.
Brilliant stuff! Can't believe nobody's thought to do this before - though I doubt they'd have done it this well.
Cool idea and looks great. I'll be following this!
I suspect I am being Mr Thickie but how do you follow this blog? I can't see the option!
Thanks again all for your encouragement (and to Tharg's droids for not firing off a cease-and-desist notice).
Dr X - I don't think i've stuck on a subscribe option (at least not consciously) as I've managed to keep up a daily posting rate and reckoned people would get annoyed at daily reminders. If people would like it then there appears to be a subscription widget I can stick on.
You've all blown my daily visits record out of the water - quite scary to know the blog is being read by people who know far more about 2000AD than I instead of people searching for 'Elvis' and getting 'Elvis the Killer Car' instead of 'The King'.
Yes, its a good thing you're doing there BPP. A very good thing.
That great, Its another ill add to my favs and read in bursts. A lot of work gone into that, Cheers!

The RSS feed isn't being auto-discovered but pop the link into Google Reader (or similar applications) and it nabs it straight away.
You can also get it from here:
http://futureshockd.wordpress.com/feed/
I've also added an email widget if anyone is insane enough to want that.
Anyone who is familiar with wordpress can feel free to advise as I am a much more used to fusty academic journals that the nosebleed world of blogs and social media.
Big thanks to Emperor who has already provided excellent help and also Mr Arthur Wyatt (woot!) who appears to have reddit'd me (whatever that may be, I trust I wont be left blushing).
Why not add a link on your profile? Then I can access the blog whenever you join a thread being read by myself.
Hyperdiamond idea.
How about reprints in the floppy to supplement Green Bonce?
It seemed like this was going to be just another regular comics blog...
but it was actually bloody fascinating
!
Uh there's me lunch time reading sorted today. First thing to say is how great is that monkey shoot!
Reddit.com has a neat subreddit (as they call them) for comicbooks, which I usually check for US comics tit-bits, though it's usually pretty superhero and US centric. I've been trying to do a little about that, hence the post - plus it;s a fantastic blog that deserves to be shared. :)

Can't speak for anyone else, but I want a reminder.
Got a mention on the FP blog:
http://forbiddenplanet.co.uk/blog/2011/blogging-the-future-shocks-right-from-the-start/
email notification and real live exciting twitter feed, including sneak peak preview, now added in a further attempt to Spread The Word.

Many thanks to everyone who helped get this into the FP blog and all the other avenues. Hope you all continue to enjoy.
Small reminder that FutureShockd has reached its 50th entry (Prog 97) and there is the a bunch of stats and musings over on the summary 26-50 post http://wp.me/p1KBan-ab (http://wp.me/p1KBan-ab) including one of the best bit of Belardinelli art thats never been reprinted.
More interviews in the pipeline too and the reviews are racing towards the arrival of Moore and Milligan in the next week or so.
Did I say 'racing'? Ahem... well we are now! FutureShockd is back with a steady stream of reviews and two interviews in the bag... Hope it fills some of your lunch-hours with a bit of pleasure!

Another 'Special Edition' today as FutureShockd brings you 'The Complete Alec Trench'.
Many thanks to those in the forum (especially WR Logan) for their previous work on Trench, hopefully this is now the definite re-telling of the 2000AD legend's story.

(remember to click on the art to see it in it's full sized glory)
A end of year 'special edition' with a double post (I think I broke Wordpress) covering The Prog & Meg in 2011, the top 10 Dredd moments of 2011, lots of lovely art and a review of the uber-fun subscription only Thargs Future Shocks b-format book.
Feel free to disagree, bitch, moan and laugh at my choices, ignorance and mistakes!

Part two http://t.co/vWXcVusV (http://t.co/vWXcVusV)
Hell, you'll get to find out just how many new pages of art there were and how much it cost you per strip-page.
Grud BPP, you're INSANE! :o Your Subscribe Now!/End of Year Review is an unbelievable amount of material, and it's a fascinating job brilliantly done. Wow.
Yeah, I've been reading this lots and often; awesome effort, and a wonderful blog!
:)
Please say you're going to add more updates at some point, BPP! I worry that you've had enough of your mighty endeavour, which'd be a criminal shame - this blog is too good not to have more of...
Bumped because I see the man himself is hanging about the forum today.
BACK!
BACK!
BACK!
(back with the over-long 'review of the year' thing before returning to the usual service tomorrow.
I know you missed me. Well, two of your did. You scamps.

Great news - I'm definitely looking forward to this.
That's a great review of the year, thanks!
Amazing review of the year BPP, just a brilliant read.
What a fantastic review of the year that was and some mighty fine choices made too. Crackin' stuff.
