Title: LIMBO on Xbox Arcade
Post by: Withnail's liver on 05 August, 2010, 11:48:33 PM
I know it's been around for a couple of weeks but downloaded a copy of it today.

Great game.  Eerie, odd, creepy and at times disturbing (I jump everytime I get caught in a bear trap).  Reminds me very much of old school Prince of Persia (the original 2d sideways scroller- not the time bothering, free running tw@ he's become now) crossed with Amiga classic Another World and finally a bit of Ico thrown in.

The puzzles seem pitched at the right level.  Not so easy that you solve them on the first attempt, not so difficult as to make you wanna tear your hair out.  Just difficult enough that you feel rather clever when you do work them out.

The only thing that does trouble me is it seems possibly a little short and maybe isn't too much replay beyond playing again for "the experience"...

I loved the demo and will get this - once I have finished Fallout 3. (ie next year!!)

Can I just add that your piccie is faintly disturbing? Grant looks like a zombie! Or Judge Death.

I know what you mean. The fact he is constantly learing out at me from the top of the page whilst I'm logged on is somewhat off putting too.

The sad thing is I've seen the film so many times I know which scene it's from and what he's just said/ in the middle of saying.
