It is time to vote for your favourite writer. The work covered is in the prog/meg and all the specials

Who is your favourite writer droid of 2020?

Format is easy. Simply look at the list in the next post - and post your top three in a reply to this thread - just make sure to clearly indicate your order using the format below - with the points awarded for each placing:

(1st, foremost and best) = 5 points
(2nd runner up) = 3 points
(Bronze who cares really) = 1 point

If you don't make it clear I'll award all your mentioned votes 3 points each.

The vote will run for a week and I'll announce the winner early Monday 11th January

If you have any questions just ask and I'll wing it as normal...

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

abelardsnazz

1. Rob Williams, for continuing to do fascinating things with Dredd.
2. Dan Abnett, for consistently great and witty stories.
3. The enigmatic Kenneth Niemand.

Colin YNWA

Tough one. I'll go

1st Dan Abnett (of course)
2nd Kenneth Neimand
3rd - the hardest one to call but I think I'll go Kek-W

broodblik

1. Dan Abnett for basically Brink and The Out
2. Gordon Rennie for Diaboliks, Aquila and Survival Geeks
3. Rob Williams for a good variety of stories

Magnetica

Number 1 is easy enough:

1st Dan Abnett

The other places much harder. I'm going for:

2nd Micheal Carroll for Dreadnoughts and Proteus Vex
3rd Niemand for his Dredds and Megatropolis.

I considered Wagner, but one 3 part Meg Dredd surely can't be enough to justify a top three placing.

TordelBack

No reflection whatsoever on Broodblik's excellent curation, but I'm finding these Writer/Artist/Short Story polls very difficult to complete, with so many options and so much brain to wrack: once the candidates exceed a dozen, I go snowblind. Makes me appreciate the Deathmatch format we've been enjoying, although that entails even more work for the compiler. Back to my Cave of Contemplation for now...

broodblik

I also think we are spoiled for choice here with excellent creators that makes it difficult to choose.

S'right. 55 writers though! That seems like Marvel or DC numbers.

Anyway, I can't think about this any longer

1. Dan Abnett, for about half the comic.
2. Alec Worley, for Hook-Jaw.
3. Ian Edginton, for Fiends and Stickleback.

I'd like to chuck HMs at Ken Niemand for some great Dredds, Alex deCampi for FTB, Mike Carroll for Proteus Vex and Dreadnaughts, Rennie and Beeby for Survival Geeks, Kek-W for The Order, and Roger Landridge for Pandora Perfect.

AlexF

1. Alex de Campi
2. Dan Abnett
3. Gordon Rennie

-with Niemand a close 4th

Sean SD

1. Dan Abnett - The Out, Feral & Foe, Sinister/Dexter
2. Rob Williams - Dredd and The Spider
3. Kenneth Niemand - Dredd esp. Chimpsky's Law
