Wow, talk about something slipping by.   :o

First manned Space Launch from NASA in years tonight.

Streamed live.

Been watching the stream all day.... it's like some bizarre low budget cable sci-fi show mixed with Trumpian propoganda for 'America's number 1' type of message.  Very odd to watch.
I don't have a drinking problem.  I drink, I get drunk, I fall over.  No problem!

Bizarre vibe alright. Spacesuits look like they were knocked up for a made-for-TV miniseries in the '90s.

However, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't exciting as anything, and all my extremities are firmly crossed.

Lol, absolutely!  Especially the wellies!  But you are right on your other point also, it's quite exciting!  Can't believe it hasn't had more advertising and such though.  Guess we've all been too pre-occupied with Gollum breaking lockdown rules to notice.

Is it just me, or does it seem weird that they are running everything off touchscreens??  That'd make me nervous I think.

I downloaded the NASA TV app on my Firestick a while ago and never really did anything with it....turns out they have live coverage of this on it right now  :D

Guess right now the Trumpian element is missing because they are totally focused but I can't help comparing the presenters with those of the Apollo program.  So much for evolution.

Yeah, glad to see the Trumpness seems to have been reserved for the 'documentary' style pieces.

Ah well,  better luck in 3 days.  Although I had reached my "Awesome! " quota for the day. Steely-eyed missile men they were not.

If we're ever going to get off this rock we need to develop rockets/ships that work in any weather.

Well that was pretty darn cool.  Seeing the first stage go up back down to land on the drone ship in just 9 minutes possibly the most amazing part of it. Although I also appreciated the mask wearing,  social distancing and screens.

Must have been so disappointing for Trump.  First manned launch in nearly a decade and everyone was more interested in watching American cities go up in flames.
